Hey! I recently rehomed an English Bulldog. He is in rough shape and we are bringing him to the vet Tuesday. I am trying to prepare myself. I noticed he has been limping and won’t put much weight on his back left paw. I started to become worried and believe it’s an act tear. I will left his back paw and I can feel a pop in his knee. I will massage and move his leg up and down a bit. He looks like it feels amazing and can walk better slightly.
As a heads up, this dog was bought off of Craigslist and came from a bad breeder. The owner that purchased the dog called the police on them due to conditions they were in. The owner needed to move and could not take her pet with her. When we got him, his nails were extremely long (2 are curving in) ears were filthy (took 2 baby wipes and 8 Q tips) they didn’t feed him consistent dog food. He looks like he has gone blind in one eye with cherry eye (based on blue cloudy eye). Real tough shape

After a week with the focus on central banks, economic data will be back at the center, surrounded by the ongoing banking crisis. The DXY finished the week lower, but looking stronger, resurfacing even as US yields tumbled, helped by a deterioration in market sentiment.
A new market season started on March 8 with the Silicon Valley Bank collapse. In the most recent episode, more central banks decided to raise rates showing determination to bring inflation down despite banking jitters. Developments in the banking sector will continue to be critical for sentiment and monetary policy expectations. It has tightened bank credit standards, doing part of the central bank's job. Next week, central bankers will probably stay close to the recent guidance next week.
On Wednesday, the Federal Reserve (Fed) raised rates by 25 bps as expected, signaling a dovish pace of future hikes. Initially, markets reacted by selling the US Dollar, and Wall Street cheered timidly. That day, markets heard from Fed officials for the first time since the banking system crisis.
Wall Street finished the week with modest gains, and the VIX dropped sharply. Still, regional bank stocks remain under pressure and with the potential to damage confidence significantly. During the weekend, market participants will stay alert on potential banking news. Also, US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen could be preparing some surprises.

The DXY settled above 103.00 after testing levels under 102.00. The Greenback rebounded despite lower yields, helped by the renewed concerns. Economic data showed activity, at least before the SVC collapse, was not near a recession. US employment data still presents a tight market. Next week's data includes the Core PCE on Friday, a closely watched inflation indicator.
EUUSD finished the week higher, pointing lower, and momentum fading quickly. The pair dropped 200 pips from the 1.0930 area to close around 1.0750, still above the 20-week Simple Moving Average. The preliminary PMIs on Friday showed overall positive figures. The preliminary March inflation numbers next week will be critical. European Central Bank officials continued to speak about the need to do more. Expectations about more rate hikes supported the Euro, which was among the top performers.
GBP/USD ended the week virtually flat around 1.2220, after being unable to hold above 1.2300. The Bank of England (BoE) raised the key rate as expected to 4.25% (7-2 vote). The bank could rise further if inflation does not surprise to the downside in March. Next Friday, Q4 GDP data is due.
The Japanese Yen benefited from the decline in US yields, outperforming most of its G10 rivals. USD/JPY dropped for the fourth consecutive week, ending above 130.00, an area that seems poised to be tested again over the following sessions.
USD/CAD reached monthly highs above 1.3800 and pulled back. Next Tuesday, the Canadian government will present the budget. January GDP will be out on Friday.
AUD/USD's run from monthly lows ended at the daily 200-SMA near 0.6760, and now it is up to the Dollar to decide how low it goes. Australia will report Retail Sales on Tuesday and critical inflation numbers on Wednesday. Those figures could cement the decision of the Reserve Bank of Australia that will have its meeting on April 4.
The Mexican peso was the biggest gainer among the most traded currencies, making a solid comeback after plunging during the previous two weeks. USD/MXN lost more than 2%, falling below 18.50. The Bank of Mexico will announce its decision next week. It is seen raising rates further but at a smaller pace than in February, when it hiked by 50 bps. Core inflation is finally coming down in Mexico, with the half-month print at 8.15%, down from 8.21%.

COVID-19 infections in the UK have climbed to their highest level since the beginning of the year, final official estimates of the prevalence of the virus have revealed.
While the trend is uncertain in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, there are signs the virus is continuing to spread.
It marks the last time that regular estimates of COVID-19 are being published, as the long-running infection survey - dubbed "the envy of the world" due to its success in tracking the virus, has been halted.
The UK Health Security Agency said that any further monitoring of the virus will be announced after a review to ensure it is "cost-effective".
The data showed that in the week ending 13 March, an estimated 1.5 million people in private households in England were likely to have had coronavirus.
It is the highest total of COVID cases in England since the week to 3 January, when the total stood at around 2.2 million.
Due to a low number of samples received by the ONS there is greater uncertainty in the latest figures for Scotland and Wales, while too few samples were returned in Northern Ireland to produce a new estimate.

I saw an older post that someone else put up on here that listed out their hobbies, music, and movie preferences and I felt it would be good for me to do the same as a way to let people know more about me before deciding to meet up / hang out together. So here goes.....

Hi fellow redditors, I'm posting this in an effort to make some new friends with similar interests. Really aiming to meet people with similar tastes and lifestyle. And someone to hit up some events in the city with. I don't drink much and I prefer not to have to yell to carry on a conversation.
I prefer more low-key activities although I'm down to walk/explore the city a lot more when the weather gets warmer.
I'll list some things that I'm into:
Hobbies: going to museums/shows/concerts, going to restaurants (hole in the wall gems are better to me versus Michelin rated hotspots), computer building/components, comedy.
Music: Varies alot depending on my mood - Chainsmokers, Empire of the Sun, all types of reggae, afro-pop, some top 40 hits, old school hip-hop .
TV shows: Succession, Ozark, You, The Office, Chappelle’s Show, etc. Animated: always down to check out South Park, Family Guy, Futurama, The Simpsons. Still have many shows that I want to watch but have not had a chance to.
Movies: Mostly action/thriller, sci-fi, and comedy, some horror, maybe even a rom-com once in a blue.

I personally don't care what your ASAB is. For the purposes of dating, I am romantically attracted to any woman, cis or trans (including gender non-conforming enbies).
With all this said, I should mention that the concept of the "Friend Zone" is a pet peeve of mine, because it implies that friendships are somehow a consolation prize in a relationship hierarchy. Would I like to find a romantic partner? Of course! But a good romance will only be as functional as a solid friendship, so making new friends who share interests are more than welcomed, anyway.
Personality wise, I describe myself as "Genderqueer Chaos" and the "Friendly Neighbourhood Anarchist". I am a very chill person, and usually only get angry at stuff like overt bigotry or an unwillingness to learn from one's mistakes. Even if someone has come from a very problematic background, I am happier to forgive than many, because I'm more concerned with a person's present day actions and how they're actively doing better today.
I follow the "Everything, Everywhere, All At Once" school of optimistic nihilism. In my view, there are no gods, no set destiny or plan for the universe. There is only humans, and it's our actions that can change a person's life, at the end of the day.
After all, "You are not unworthy of love. There's always something to love. Even in a stupid, stupid universe where we have hotdogs for fingers, we can get very good with our feet."
As a final note, I'm a big animal lover, and own two lovely Degu boys myself. So, if you have any pets, however exotic, feel free to share any pics of them!

Yo what’s up I’m a 24 year old guy from New England with too much time on hands rn since I’m in between jobs. I used to do iron work/fabrication but ended up quitting to go back to school and work part time. I’d describe myself as a chronic introvert which on some level I don’t think will ever change but I’m trying to work on it regardless.
In terms of interests I love being outdoors, family trips to the southwest to visit national parks were some of the best memories I have growing up. Whenever it isn’t too cold I usually just take a drive to some local trails and go hiking. I play some video games although I’m trying to ween off of them. I usually just play games like dark souls, dead space, binding of Isaac etc since multiplayer games became such a time black hole. I also love reading and learning whatever I can. I can enjoy basically any anything if I’m with someone. I don’t do any drugs and I’m not willing to get into them if that’s your thing sorry.

I’ve been considering homeschooling. I don’t know if my parents will support me yet or not because my mother says she needs to know what the process is before it can be a yes or a no, since she knows nothing about it. But I’ve just been thinking.. my reasons are that I feel like I could get a more personalized curriculum and have less stress. I also wouldn’t have to deal with annoying teachers. I wouldn’t have to get up so early, I could (potentially only from what I’ve heard) have a little more free time to do my hobbies.
My concern is the social aspect. I have no friends and I’ve never fit in with other kids my entire life, so at this point I’d like to think that I know how to deal with it and be ok without it, but I just don’t know how well I’ll do without at least basic social interaction (like asking questions), or just not being surrounded by people my age in general. I don’t really care for anyone in my school because I’m not connected with them at all.. I’m always on the outside of things. But I wonder if I’ll miss just being surrounded by people my age.
When I get my driver’s license and have that freedom, I’ll definitelyy be getting out of my house and driving everywhere, like libraries, local art museums, shops, hopefully find volunteer opportunities, just local stuff and so I think that might be good enough if I have that but the thing is, once I turn 16 it’s still gonna be another year until I’m 17 and can actually get a real, no supervision required license and be free. So I’ll have to survive a year basically all by myself, in my house. I mean, I do have a therapist so idk. But yeah.
That’s my main concern. Also of course, motivation issues. It probably sounds stupid to consider homeschooling if you have a history of motivation and attention issues but I just thought if I had a more personalized curriculum and my mother keeping me in check then it could work possibly better than public school. Because I fucking HATE school. I also just get anxious and unable to do anything very often in school cause I get such a feeling of dread. But yeah, those are my reasons. This is a very new interest of mine so I need thoughts and opinions

Hey all,
Lived in Aberdeen of the past couple of years and unfortunately it is my time to say goodbye, regretful having to go to southern England, but hey, that's life, there's very few jobs in my field so needs must.
Anyway, I'm coming up for the last time (as someone who still technical lives there) this weekend to had over the flat and wanted to bring back a few Aberdeen/shire 'delights' for my new colleagues to sample.
Obviously, butteries are something that I will be bring back down with me, but is there anything else (food wise) that may be worth sampling that I may have missed. Nearly all of my colleagues are not British so more generic Scottish foods may count too ... no haggis though, that's a bit too obvious! Kind of looking forward the the expression on the Italian's faces when they ingest a kg of butter, lol.
On a side note - for all those that slag off Aberdeen, yes it has had it downturns but it still has a huge amount of character, great people (other than the odd oil and gas wanker) and easily the most attractive countryside and coastline this country has to offer. You'll be fine in the longterm and I am gutted that I wasn't able to make it my permanent home. If you've never lived in the South / South East of England you don't know how lucky you are - I pay more for a flat literally half the size and now I'm surrounded by egocentric cunts with shrill accents, FFS. And yes, I'm English, although Northern which is slightly more acceptable in my book, although I may be slightly biased in that respect.
