It was already slipping in the fields more than normal due to the type of snow this time of the year. A nice crusty layer with that fine loose icy snow under it. Most of this particular trail (which is on my property) is flat but it has some dips and I hadn't driven on it all winter so it was not compacted at all. This was one of those dip spots and the snow banks up there making it deeper. Of course, after I drive into it, I decided to stop, sinking the jeep up to the frame in snow. Me, thinking it should be fine, starts spinning the tires, lock the lockers, rocking f/r, try crawl control, and when all that failed, the solution was to spin some more which got me to the ground, and turned that to slick mud and of course compacted the snow under the body. I started to dig it out but this was more fun, less work, tractor time, and the neighbors get a laugh. https://preview.redd.it/gbx4sch069m61.jpg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=19b2e4d38a45d7dfa4ebca6addef7859e958adf7 |
