2023.03.25 01:47 StepwiseUndrape574 Latest GTA 6 Leak Tips A Return To Vice City
Is a trip to Vice City in your near future? There have been many Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA 6) leaks over the last few years, but the most recent suggests that players will return to a classic GTA location. Rumor has it that Grand Theft Auto VI may take place in Vice City.
This particular rumor started through the usual sources -- Twitter and Reddit. Twitter user Vector Hold, also known as Peter Brian Rice, claimed that Rockstar Games’ music rights representatives have been contacting Synthwave artists. Rice is a synthwave artist himself and has reportedly heard this information from fellow musicians. Rockstar Games hopes that the artists will contribute music for a radio station in the upcoming game. The tweet was posted earlier this week, but Rice has since deleted it.
There was also a reddit post that was created several months ago by user “markothemexicam.” The user claimed that their information was from their roommate. The roommate supposedly formerly worked for Rockstar North. They contended that GTA 6 will be set during an “unspecified” time in Vice City. This post has also been deleted, but has been saved elsewhere on the internet.
It would be tempting to discredit this reddit post as these kinds of claims are a dime a dozen on the Internet. However, another GTA leaker also recently suggested that GTA 6 would be set in a location familiar to players. Both markothemexicam and the GTA leaker have a fairly decent track record with regards to GTA predictions.
Other information on the internet suggests that the storyline of GTA 6 will be focused on drug smuggling. Players will reportedly travel between Vice City and Central or South America. This theory was originally suggested by YouTube channel “The Know” and has since gained quite a bit of popularity.
grand theft auto vice city 2
It is important to keep in mind that all of this information is simply speculation. There have been plenty of fake GTA 6 rumors in the past. For example, a Twitch channel called "GTAVI" appeared this past spring. The channel promised it would provide information about the game during a livestream on April 1st. However, this channel turned out to be an elaborate April Fools’ prank.
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City was released in 2002 for the PlayStation 2, Xbox, and PC. It was the best-selling game of 2002 and received a number of awards. 17.5 million copies of the game have been sold and it has now been ported to several other platforms. It is easy to see why so many players would be thrilled to return to Vice City. Unfortunately, we will know nothing for certain until Rockstar Games decides to make a formal announcement.

2023.03.25 01:37 StepwiseUndrape574 GTA V Crowned Best-Selling Game Of The Decade, But Call Of Duty Dominates Top 10 List
The new decade has everyone feeling a little bit reflective, including fans of video games. The NPD Group, Inc. recently released a ton of information about the gaming market over the last ten years. This information included the best selling games of 2019 and the best selling games between 2010 and 2019. Grand Theft Auto V was the best selling game of the decade across all platforms, but the Call of Duty franchise truly won the 2010s.
The NPD Group, Inc. is a New York-based market research company that tracks twenty different industries. Mat Piscatella, a video games market research analyst, recently posted on Twitter the information that the company has gathered both over the last year and over the last decade. Grand Theft Auto V, with an estimated 110 million copies sold. However, the Call of Duty franchise may be the true MVP of the decade. Ten out of the fifteen most popular games in the 2010s were Call of Duty games. This includes the most recent addition to the franchise, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. The best selling Call of Duty game was Call of Duty: Black Ops. The game was originally released in November 2010 for Microsoft Windows, the Nintendo DS, PlayStation 3, Wii, Xbox 360, and OS X and was later released on mobile. There may even be a reboot in 2020.
Play
Several of the other best selling games of the decade are not a surprise. These games include Red Dead Redemption II, Minecraft, Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Mario Kart 8, Battlefield 1, Battlefield 4, Destiny, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Star Wars Battlefront 2015. All of these games made a splash in the 2010s and some even inspired memes and their own cult followings.
The NPD Group, Inc. also released information about consoles. The Playstation 4 was the best selling console of the 2010s, while PS4 Dualshock 4 wireless controller in black was the best selling accessory. However, the Nintendo Switch dominated 2019. It was the best selling console of the year and Switch Pro controller was the best selling accessory.
call of duty modern warfare gameplay Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019)
The best-selling games of 2019 were a little more shocking. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare was unsurprisingly the best selling game of 2019, but it was followed by NBA 2K20 and Madden NFL 20. They beat out games such as Borderlands 3, Kingdom Hearts III, and the Outer Worlds which were games that were generally better reviewed and received more hype.Games from series like NBA 2K and Madden NFL appear to have a strong, consistent fan base.
What can the numbers from the 2010s tell us about the video game industry? There have been a variety of interesting games that have come out in the last decade, but the most popular genres appear to be first person shooters and action adventure games. It also seems that many video game fans were drawn to the “open world” concept. Will these preferences continue to reign throughout the 2020s? NPD Group, Inc. reported that that video game spending in general declined in 2019, but it is still a major industry. What do you think HotHardware readers? What video game trends will be the most popular in the 2020s?

2023.03.25 01:35 ankerikor Can My General Manager Put Employee Phone Numbers Up Without Our Consent?
So, i (15) work a pretty lax job. It's a movie theater. A majority of the employees are highschoolers because it pays decent and we get free tickets and good benefits (good to me atleast).
Earlier today as i was leaving to clock out, a coworker pointed out a sheet of paper taped to the back of the backroom door. Its not in public eye and only employees would usually see it (unless the door is propped open, which rarely happens unless we're mopping.) and my coworker asks what it is. Its a printed out paper with all the main casts phone numbers next to their name. Including minors such as myself who are just barely legal to even be employed (in my state, michigan, you can be employed at 14, but at my particular theater you need to be 15. not totally sure why but you do).
I didn't even know this paper was put up until my coworker pointed it out. I did not consent to mine being up. It normally wouldn't bother me, except i had the thought of "wait.. what if theres somebody else that works there that you dont want to have your personal number?" in my case, i dont like it because while i know most of my coworkers, i have never met most of the night staff, and i only work morning/lunch hours so i havent met a majority of the afternoon casting either.
Is this legal?? I want to bring it up because my general manager, the one who most likely put it up, is a pretty nice dude. Hes always helped me when i need to reschedule something or swap a shift or take sick time. And hes always just been generally pretty chill. But im not super comfortable just having my number up in the open even if its technically not public.
Thoughts?

2023.03.25 01:26 xSNYPSx Absolute robotization and its impact on humanity
Today I want to write my vision of the near future facing humanity in the next decade.
The progress of Artificial Intelligence continues. His achievements are increasingly covering the material sphere of life. Soon, we will all be able to see firsthand the new generation of synthetic robots performing everyday tasks. But how exactly will this be implemented?
First, the first AI platforms will appear. Conventionally, these platforms will have sections for each robot separately. In 2023-25, massive humanoid robots with legs, arms and hands will already appear. The most popular models will have millions of sales, and will be the largest ecosystem for them. In each section of an individual robot, Models will be presented for its behavior in various situations. You can imagine a robot as a phone, then its section is its operating system, and the robot's behavior models are applications that can be installed and removed on it. The robot can be taught yoga, cooking, delivery and fishing, these will be independent models of behavior, which the robot can either train independently, or download a ready-made model according to the rating level. It is long and expensive to train the robot yourself, but over time, training will require less time and data, which will allow you to generate these models on the fly, but only for the simplest tasks, be it floor cleaning. Complex tasks will take a longer time to master, and then the question of a more effective choice will arise - to learn quickly some task yourself, if a ready-made model of this task does not yet exist at all, or download a ready-made one. In addition, the structure of the operating system is very important, but it will be easy and understandable for everyone. The robot itself will wait for commands in standby mode. When it receives a command, it converts the voice into text, tries to isolate the meaning from the text, just like Google search is doing it now, comparing it with Action Models. If the model is found, the robot performs the action, having previously specified the initial criteria for the selected task. If the action model is not found in the robot's memory, the robot invites the owner to create his own or download it from the Internet. Behaviors such as painting walls, washing floors, cooking will be widespread, have many alternatives, and possibly even be used in parallel. Some complex tasks, including working at a computer for a robot, or, for example, repairing a computer, will need to train a lot of time and spend a lot of energy on them, which will be available at first only to the largest companies, then to medium-sized ones, and after a while to everyone, as of how teaching methods will get cheaper. At some point, even incredibly complex tasks can be mastered in the shortest possible time, but more complex ones will appear, the complexity of the tasks and the speed of learning these tasks will increase exponentially over time. Today the largest companies train robots for the simplest tasks. The number of companies will keep growing, training will keep getting cheaper, and robots will get smarter. The trend cannot be stopped.
I am sure, less then in 2 years AI companies will make AI that can control humanoid bot, which can do any human hand work. This means only one thing. When they will make 100 such bots, this bots will double every 1-3 months. By 2030, we can have 1 Million-1Billion such robots, which will make everything and change our life LIKE NOTHING BEFORE !
For example, they will produce all food for everyone, but NOT only food. Fabric production will become not just automated, but robotized with universal clever humanoid workers.
Also they can do some landscaping and environmental management. But wait.
Remember what I tell you in the beginning? If they can do everthing, they will making new factories to produce themselves MORE and MORE. This is not like electrocars. 1 electrocar cant produce other 2 electocars. If 1000 robots can produce factory that can produce 10000 robots per year, then 1 robot can produce 10 per year. You guys know what I mean ? Exponential grow of robot population in this decade. And this is not a funny joke, this soon will be our reality.
Oh cmon, but how much robots we REALLY need ? Somebody will say 100000 robots per city will be FAR enough to cover all the needs of the city and will absolutely right. BUT. What we really want from our life ? I mean, in near future we all will all have a certain resource. Resource, that humanity never have before. We can call it ABILITY TO CREATE. Create almost without borders. So, after we cover all our ordinary needs, what we will do next ? What is humanity really capable of with such power?
Mega projects. Yep, this things will be next after working humanoid robot revolution. After day, then count of robots will more then 1 billion, things will change really fast. Making new islands in pacific sea near Hawaii ? Of coures. How much people want to live on Maldives ? What if we can create Maldives the size of Eurasia in the Pacific? They would accommodate 2 times more people than they currently live on earth.
God only knows what incredible things we can create in this century. But the truth is, we can't even imagine it all. We got so caught up in films about the future that we forgot that the present future is actually UNKNOWN to us and most likely it WILL NOT look like what we CAN imagine. This fact fascinates me every time.
And I will not tire of asserting that the beginning of this will be laid already in this decade. Very soon, the first robot will come off the assembly line, understanding your commands and simply executing them. At this point, you can safely say that this is the beginning of singularity.
Actual articles was writen by me 2 years ago:
https://www.reddit.com/singularity/comments/k0csiabsolute_robotization/ https://www.reddit.com/Futurology/comments/jp6o30/how_humanoid_robots_will_make_impact_in_nea I still have this optimistic vision of the future and feel that my predictions are coming true before my eyes.
I want to share these articles with new members /r singularity because so many good people have joined us over the last year
P.S.
I want to add that it is in this article (in my opinion) that the whole purpose and direction of the arrow of the entire progress of the human colossus in the current decade is contained. I don't presume to judge what goal we as a species will begin to pursue in the next decade, it can be both the conquest of the cosmos, and going deep into the mind and matter. But the current task of obtaining an absolute transorative power over the physical world must be completed before 2030 and the direction is clear to me. Not an ounce of pessimism.

2023.03.25 00:26 aaaaa143222 Some comments on Falun Gong's teachings (3)
Li Hongzhi talked about prehistory
"Qigong is Part of Prehistoric Culture" is a section of "Zhuan Falun". In this section, Li Hongzhi claimed: "Today archaeologists have discovered that there was an organism called a trilobite, and that creature was active from 600 million years ago up until 260 million years ago. [...] Yet there’s an American scientist who discovered a trilobite fossil, and what was on it but a human footprint, the footprint of somebody wearing shoes, and the print was unmistakable. [...] If you go by Darwin’s theory of evolution, tell me, could there be human beings 260 million years ago?"
However, this is the "Meister Print". Scientists have determined that it was naturally formed. [1,2]
"In the museum of the National University of Peru there’s a rock that has a human figure etched into it. A study determined that the figure was etched in the rock 30,000 years ago. But this figure is wearing clothes, he has a hat on, and he’s wearing shoes, in his hand he’s got a telescope and he’s observing the stars. Now how could people 30,000 years ago know how to weave cloth and put on clothes? What’s even more incredible is that he’s holding a telescope and observing the stars, he knew something about astronomy."
This is part of the "Ica Stones", whose authenticity is disputed. [3]
"In Africa there’s the Gabon Republic, which has uranium ore."
"In 1972 a plant in France imported that uranium ore, and after chemical analysis they found that the uranium ore had already been tapped and used."
"Scientists from a lot of countries went there to investigate. They eventually verified that the uranium ore mine was a large-scale nuclear reactor, and the layout was really technically sound. There’s no way even us modern folks could create something like that. So when was it built? Two billion years ago, and it operated for 500,000 years. These numbers are just astronomical. There’s no way to explain it with Darwin’s theory of evolution."
The nuclear reactor is a natural one. In 1956, Paul Kuroda theorized the conditions for spontanous nuclear fission. [4] It was never said that living beings built it, so it does not contradict Darwin's theory of evolution.

Li Hongzhi, the founder of Falun Gong, said: "You can go ahead and test it to see if the composition of seawater is the same as human tears. They are exactly the same." (LSJ1999) However, this is false, because tears have a mean pH value of 7.0 [1] and seawater has a pH value of 8.1. [2]

2023.03.25 00:25 StepwiseUndrape574 Grand Theft Auto V Loads Up To 92 Percent Faster On PS5 Than PS4 In Early Tests
Grand Theft Auto V is notable for all kinds of reasons. It's the most expensive video game ever made, and also one of the very most successful, by any measure. It sold so well that Rockstar kept the online service for the 7th-generation (PS3 and Xbox 360) releases of the game going from release in 2013 until late last year. It had moved over 150 million copies as of last August, in fact.
That number has surely gone up since then, and it's probably going to continue going up for years to come thanks to the updated re-release that's now available on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles. We've already written about what's included in the re-release, but the short version is that it adds higher-quality assets, ray-traced lighting, and 60 FPS options to the exclusively-30-FPS console releases.
ssd sony ps5 2
Unfortunately, another notable aspect of GTA V is its interminable loading times, especially on the consoles. Well, arguably the biggest change this console generation has been the move to solid-state storage instead of the spinning rust used previously. Both families of 9th-generation game consoles support disk I/O tens of thousands of times faster than the 8th-generation consoles.
Naturally the new release of GTA V reaps the benefits of that in its load times. Over at IGN, they put the new release through its paces and found that load times are drastically improved across the board. Selecting "replay mission" can find load times as much as 75% faster on the new system, while loading autosaves was slashed from over two minutes to around 20 seconds on Sony's latest machine.
ign gtav ps5 loading
As showcased in IGN's video, the difference upon starting a new game is even more mind-blowing. On the PlayStation 4, it took 2 minutes and 18 seconds to load from the menu to the new-game heist sequence. Performing the same operation on the PlayStation 5 took just eleven seconds. The player was able to get halfway through the mission on the PS5 by the time the older system finished loading.
We feel it's likely that this enormous improvement isn't merely the work of the fancy SSD, but also that of the PS5's potent Zen 2 CPU cores as well as some software optimizations. Players of GTA Online may recall that an enterprising developer found a simple optimization (arguably, a bugfix) that slashed loading times by 75%. Rockstar even paid out a bug bounty to the developer.
We still haven't heard back from Rockstar on when or if these improvements will be finding their way to the PC version of the game, nor whether there will be a charge for the update if they do. It seems likely that Rockstar is gauging the playerbase's reaction to such a thing. You can pick up the refreshed release on PS5 for $10 right now, or on Xbox Series XS for $20, but both prices will rise to $40 after three months, so get while the getting's good if you're not willing to wait a few years for GTA 6.

2023.03.25 00:16 BoolinHours I took a pill that gives you endless nightmares.
It’s been a while since I’ve felt anything. My life has become a constant drudgery, even special events have become dull. My son’s fourteenth birthday was a few weeks ago, but it could’ve happened yesterday, or the month before, it’s all been melding into one. I still remember though; I remember being in that moment, and I can tell you the exact details of what occurred, who was there, but I can’t for the life of me remember how it meant to me. I was simply a presence, a bystander. I think my son was happy, I hope he was.
The tasks in my life that were once a burden have become noise to me. In a way I suppose that’s a good thing. I can work my ass off all day, get treated like a dog, and I would be none the wiser. I’m not exactly sure when this happened, I used to hate my job. I guess somewhere along the way I got lobotomized in my sleep. That would explain it. At least I can provide for my son this way.
He reminds me of myself in more ways that I’d like to admit. He’s a pleasure seeker, and the friends that he’s made push these hedonistic tendencies. On his birthday he came back home absolutely plastered, and I should’ve been furious, but it didn’t affect me at. Hell I even offered him another drink. At his age I sought the same type of stimulus, the same type that I yearn for today, so in a way I am living vicariously through him. He’s a good kid though, he’s on this path but he’s not anchored to it. He refused the drink and went to bed. As a father what I did was not good, but as bystander I wish he took it. I wish he prolonged his euphoria. I wish I could see him live.
They’ve been advertising this new medication all over TV. It’s a pill that gives you constant nightmares when you sleep. It’s been all over the news actually. Some people are up in arms about, and for some folks it’s a godsend, folks like me. In my mind this seems like the stimulus I have been craving for so long, but I can’t stop thinking about my son. What happened on his birthday was a moment of weakness. I couldn’t let him know I stooped so low to get a high. Seeking the pleasures in life is one thing, but seeking fear is another. The road my son is on mirrors my own, and I don’t want him to become nullified in the same way. But at this point, he’s becoming a young man before my eyes, and I am indifferent. I need to feel something, I need to be present, not a presence.
After meeting with my doctor, I received the prescription, 30 pills for 30 days. She sternly informed me of the side effects, about how easy it is to overdose, but like all other stimuli in life, it became white noise. But at last, I could see the light at the end of the tunnel. I could finally feel again, and I couldn’t wait to fall asleep. I waited until the lights in my son’s room went off, and after I saw that he had fallen asleep, I could begin. I sat upright on my bed and pulled out the prescription bottle from my drawer. I took another look, scanned it up and down, maybe even considering a reason not to take it. On the label was a warning sign
“Do not take two doses within a 12-hour period”.
“Good to know” I thought to myself, and I popped open the bottle, took a gulp from my glass of water, and closed my eyes.
Thirty minutes passes, and then an hour, and no effect. Worthless scam. My eyes blasted open, but when I tried to get up, my limbs were numb. I tried closing my eyes again…nothing. I tried breathing and I realized I was suffocating; I couldn’t move any part of my body whatsoever. The sweat from my forehead rolled into my open eye. I couldn’t move, but I could experience pain. As the asphyxiation engulfed me, my bedroom became blurry.
“This is it" I thought, I am about to die.
With each passing second my vision faded until finally, as I imagined would be the last moment of my life, the pain stopped. I could breathe again, and sure enough I rose from my prone position and stood up. I look around, everything is in its normal place. I take a deep breath in relief. Now that the worst was over, I got up to examine the pill bottle. The warning was no longer in English, but instead covered in strange markings.
Suddenly I was dragged down by an unbelievable force through my bedroom floor into a black abyss. There was an extremely loud sound that sounded like deep breathing and I felt as if something was watching my descent. At an instant I fell on a sandy bottom. I looked around, but it was so dark that I could only see at an arms reach. I trudged through the sand, stepping on what felt like organic material occasionally. At last, I reached a metal industrial door, like one you’d see in large freezer. On it was some type of text or message, I squinted my eyes attempting to read it. It was in that same language on the pill bottle. My eyes wander down and I notice a door handle. My heart is beating faster than when I was dying. I smile and reach for it.
BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!
My eyes tear open as if they were glued. I’m back in my room, I can breathe. I realized that I forgot to turn off my Saturday alarm. I exhale in a sense of relief when I noticed something wet underneath me. Damn I pissed my bed… Understandably, I jumped up and exclaimed upon realization. I hear footsteps coming sprinting towards my room. My son opens the door and sees me in my current state.
“Dad are you ok?”, my son said.
“Oh, yeah…I’m fine, just had a bad dream”
My son notices my soaked trousers and bed sheets.
“Are you…feeling alright?” he says.
My cheeks become bright red.
“Oh um…I just…”
My darting eyes reach the half empty water glass.
“Yeah I just spilled a bit when I was taking my medicine”
My heart froze. I didn’t hide the bottle last night. My son’s eyes meandered to the pill bottle on my dresser, and then back to mine. After what seemed like an eternity, my son perked a smile.
“I think you’re just getting old Dad”.
With that he laughed and rolled his eyes while closing the door. Silence at last. I began to laugh quietly to myself. I couldn’t believe it, but I finally felt something again. I could feel the warm embrace of the sunshine seeping through the blinds of my window.
I walk into the kitchen to find my son cooking breakfast. The sweet scent of the bacon permeates my olfactory senses. I take a moment to listen. I hear the low hum of the air conditioner, the upbeat banter of daytime television, and even ever so faintly, the songs of birds outside. I find myself grinning ear to ear. My son places a plate consisting of tater tots, eggs, and bacon in front of me.
“Someone’s chipper today”, he says.
I smile at him.
“Yeah…yeah I’m feeling good”.
My son leans against a wall and tosses a tater tot into his mouth.
“Maybe it wasn’t such a bad dream after all”, he says.
I snag a tater tot off my plate and do the same.
“Honestly I don’t remember what it was about”.
I felt at peace…or at least it appeared so. I took a bite of my breakfast, but with each chew the flavor began dissipating. I squint, the sunshine has become dull and bright. My hand begins to tremble as I feel an object in pajama pocket. I feel a compulsion to reach down. I slowly retrieve the object from my pocket. My eyes widen and my heart begins to race…it’s the prescription bottle, and the English text is replaced once again with a foreign language. I gawk at it sitting in the palm of my hand, and my lips start to form a smile.
“Dad!”
I snap out of it and stuff the bottle back into my pocket. My son is standing behind the kitchen counter.
“Do you want any more bacon before I put it away?”.
“Uh…no thank you, I’m alright for now”
My son stares at me with a charged look.
“All right…” he says.
I quickly regain my composure.
“Son, do you have any plans tonight?”
“Yeah I think Devin’s having some people over tonight…unless you wanted to do something?”
I feign a smile.
“No, no, have fun with your friends!”
“All…right, cool…” my son says.
I jump.
“But maybe we can do something tomorrow?”
My son ponders for a moment.
“I was actually gonna go to Luka’s basketball game tomorrow. A bunch of my friends wanna support him, ya know?…”
He sees a hint of sadness in my eyes.
“But after we could figure something out!” he exclaims.
I smile.
“Yes…that sounds great!”
My son nods and walks out the kitchen door. My hand is still trembling. I look down to see that I had been gripping the bottle the whole time. I check the door; I think he’s gone. I pull the bottle out and examine it, the text has returned to normal. I exhale, I felt safe again.
I hear the door slam closed followed my son’s car screeching out the driveway. He asked if he could spend the night at Devin’s and I complied. It’s seven o’clock in the evening…perfect. I purchased a plastic mattress cover to avoid last night’s mishap, so I put it on the bed, strip naked and sit the mattress. There is a part of me that feels a slight embarrassment at my current situation, but honestly, I’ve been caught doing worse. I also purchased a water-resistant blanket, so I’m not a complete degenerate.
I pull the bottle out from the drawer. The label’s in English…great. I purposefully put the bottle into the drawer and hide it under some of the junk in there, and for good measure, I set my alarm for five in the morning, just in case my son came home early. I pop a pill into my mouth and swallow.
Immediately I am pulled down into the abyss. Darkness has now overcome my entire vision. I am moving extremely fast, much faster than last time. I swear I even feel my ears popping from the change in pressure. BAM!
I slam into the sandy bottom once more. I take a few moments to catch my breath when I notice a light in the distance. It shines an iridescent purple color, unlike I had ever seen. Immediately my feet began trudging towards it, almost automatically. I carefully amble over what seems like a sea of organic matter. I have no inclination of what exactly I’m walking on, but it is consumed most of the sand from before. As I approach the light, I see what I had been drawn to…the door from last night.
Although the door appeared the same as the night prior, it felt…different. I would even say it felt familiar…safe…welcoming. Before I could even think, my hand rose and grasped its handle. It’s difficult to explain, but it reminded me so much of her. I was grinning ear to ear once more. I began to twist the handle, and as I did so the iridescent light that guided me here shined brighter and brighter, once again bathing me in a warm embrace. I peer forward, filled with the most excitement in years, as I’m about to pull the door open.
“Mom! Dad!”
I stop. I look around for the source of the outcry.
“Mom! Dad! Help me! Please!
It’s my son.
Without a second thought I let go of the handle and begin sprinting towards him.
SLAM!
I face plant into the ground. Something has snagged my ankle. The iridescent light has become bright enough to illuminate the ground and…oh my goodness. Around me are what seems like thousands and decrepit bodies, all trying to claw their way out of the sand. I look down at my ankle and see a man gripping me. He has a look of desperation in his eye. I promptly kick him in the face and run off.
“Mom! Dad!”
I’m getting closer.
“Mom! Dad!”
I’m almost there.
“MOM! DAD!”
I can see him! But he’s being engulfed by the bodies and sand below. I sprint as fast as I can when…
BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!
I scream and flail on my bed. I take a few moments to catch my breath. I glance at the source of the noise…my alarm clock. It reads 5:00 AM. It’s morning. The sun has not fully risen yet, but the warm embrace still reaches me. I glance over at the water glass and pill bottle on top of my dresser. I exhale in relief, it’s over… I throw some clothes and head to the restroom. Fortunately, I didn’t have an accident last night, so there’s no evidence there. And thankfully I made sure to hide the pill bottle last night as well.
Wait.
I sprint back into my room to find the pill bottle on top of my dresser. I try to calm myself down. I must’ve forgotten again. It’s 5 am, there’s no way he’s home. He wouldn’t do that, he’s better than me. I take a deep breath and un-tense my body. Yeah, everything’s ok…
I jump at the pill bottle and count its contents.
“1…2…3….”
With every number my heart races.
“24…25…26………27”
My heart sinks. I burst out of my bedroom and sprint to my son’s room. I slam open the door, and my fears realized. He is lying unconscious on his bed. I check his pulse, he’s alive, but his heart rate is slow, and he’s ice cold to the touch. I panic, looking for anything to help. His slow breaths act as a ticking clock as I search for a solution. I grab a phone and begin to dial 911 when I notice something. Silence.
I rush over to my son’s side. He’s stopped breathing…but his heart is still beating, then I notice something more. All along my son’s chest and arms appear to markings materializing beneath his skin, the same markings on the pill bottle. With no other options, there’s only one action I could take to save my son. I sprint back into my room, grab a pill and swallow it.
What feels like an eternity passes, but I cannot fall asleep. I try taking other sleeping pills, I try asphyxiation, I even try knocking myself out with blunt force. But to no avail, I’m trapped here in the conscious world while my son is fading away. My emotions overcome me.
“Why isn’t it working!”
“I thought you wanted to experience true fear?” a deep voice bellowed out.
I did, whatever was talking to me was right. I wanted to feel something, fear, sadness…anything. But now I’m overcome with only one emotion…rage.
“Release my son!”
Silence.
“Release my son right now, I command you!”
Silence.
I look around the room and spot the pill bottle.
“What if I made you a deal?”
“…Go on” the voice boomed.
“If I swallow every pill in this bottle, would you let go of my son?”.
“But he’s so fresh and ripe…what do you have to offer?”.
“I don’t…I don’t know…nothing!”
Without thinking I grab the pill bottle and swallow the lot. I collapse onto the floor and begin sobbing. I’ve done it, my son has done nothing wrong and has paid the price for my wrongdoings. But wait, I refuse to live on without him. Even if his fate is sealed, I will live on every day from now living to the fullest, in his memory. If he can’t be here to experience what life has to offer, I’ll experience it twice fold!
“Deal” the voice bellowed out.
At once I began my descent into the void, seemingly at the speed of light, but even then, I saw something ascending out of the darkness. Although my fate had been sealed, my son’s is safe. So here I find myself in a sea of now millions of the damned, smiling ear to ear.

2023.03.25 00:01 kingmidas2020 Global labour arbitrage works both ways…
https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2023/03/24/failing-nhs-trust-advertises-better-paid-jobs-doctors-nurses/
A failing NHS Trust is encouraging doctors and nurses to move to
Saudi Arabia, with promises of
tax-free earnings in the sunshine, despite a staffing crisis.
King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation trust (KCH) is establishing KCH Jeddah, a 150-bed site with 1,200 staff, under the first partnership deal with the kingdom.
However, doctors are concerned that the project could drain the health service of nurses and doctors.
The moves come amid
record shortages of NHS staff, with more than 130,000 NHS vacancies across England, with the Government promising to publish a long-delayed workforce strategy.
King's College NHS Foundation trust is currently advertising more than 60 vacancies across its UK sites for nurses, consultants and midwives.
A Care Quality Commission (CQC) report published in February ruled the trust required improvement overall but was inadequate in its use of resources.
The watchdog noted safe staffing levels were sometimes difficult to achieve, “despite best intentions”.The trust had a high vacancy rate of 14 per cent for nursing, it said.
Some patients said staff were sometimes “not as caring when staffing numbers were low”, it added.
Nicola Wise, CQC deputy director of operations in London, said areas which required improvement included “ensuring [the trust] always has staffing levels that support it to provide safe care and treatment to people.
“While many NHS services and those in the wider care sector face staffing challenges, the trust must find ways to minimise the risk this poses to people in its care.”
The NHS Trust is also missing several targets across A&E, cancer and treatment waiting times.
Four in 10 patients arriving at A&E are not being seen within four hours, against a target of 95 per cent.
In February, more than 2,100 patients waited four hours to be admitted via A&E at the trust, while 931 waited more than 12 hours.
Less than three quarters of patients are being seen by a consultant within 18 weeks, the latest data show. The NHS has a target that 92 per cent should be seen within this time following a referral.
Meanwhile, 42 patients have been waiting more than 18 months to begin treatment, a figure that NHS England has told trusts to eliminate by next week.
Under the plans for KCH Jeddah, around one third of doctors could come from the UK, according to private equity investors behind the scheme, with recent recruitment efforts targeting a nursing job fair in Manchester.
Several job ads say the hospital is “looking for UK-registered nurses” and all must have a degree in nursing from Britain, plus several years’ hospital experience.
While Britain has seen months of NHS strikes in a drawn-out pay dispute, the project is attempting to entice staff with promises of “competitive tax-free salaries” in a sunny climate.
In a promotional video launched in January, the hospital’s chief nursing officer – a former NHS trust chief – highlights the sunshine and leisure on offer.
“What can I tell you about living in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia? Jeddah is situated on the Red Sea coast and has almost 360 days of sunshine in a year,” says Patti Paine, until recently director of midwifery at University Hospital of Derby and Burton Hospitals trust.
In a promotional video on the KCHJ’s Youtube page on Jan 15 2023, Ms Paine explains “what life is like living in Jeddah as a British expatriate.
“We are bringing the best of British healthcare here to Jeddah,” she says.
“We can offer you a once-in-a-career opportunity to be part of a new hospital set-up and we want to attract the very best doctors, nurses, midwives and allied health professionals to be part of this unique team at King’s Jeddah.”
Jeddah has a long coastline, with beach and water activities possible all year round, as well as shopping and historical sites, she continues. One ad posted in February says: “In order to meet the requirements of our nurse jobs, all applicants will hold a Bachelor’s degree in nursing from the UK, with a minimum of two years’ hospital experience post-qualification.”
The site in Jeddah is expected to open early in 2024, with 150 beds, later expanding to 250, with health chiefs saying it will have 1,200 staff in total.
“The hospital will employ over 200 doctors – 30 per cent of which will come from the UK,” Ahsan Ali, head of healthcare at Ashmore Group, told Arab News in 2022.
Dr Matt Kneale, co-chairman at Doctors' Association UK, expressed concern that recruiting from Britain would place “strain on an already overstretched NHS workforce”.
He urged those running the project “to ensure that any recruitment drives do not come at the cost of reducing the number of working NHS doctors”.
Dame Meg Hillier, head of the Public Accounts Committee, said it was “incredible” that the NHS’s foreign partnerships were now able to deprive the service of much-needed staff.
Rachel Harrison, GMB national secretary, said: “It is much easier to persuade staff to leave their jobs if they are underpaid and overworked. And this is the reality across the health service today.”
KCH says the venture is an investment and that all profits will be ploughed back into the NHS for the benefits of patients.
The trust has loaned £7 million to a holding company – KCH Commercial Services – which has been invested in a trading company, KCH Management Limited.
This was set up for “recruitment and consultancy”.
The trust describes it as “the largest recruiter of overseas nurses in the UK”, saying most are placed at its London hospital. But KCH Management Limited also has an equity stake in KCH Healthcare LLC, a UAE business aimed at “delivering the same high-quality clinical outcomes as King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust”.
In December 2022 the trust was moved out of the lowest finance performance band after being placed in special measures for running up a £130 million deficit in 2017/18.
‘More for us to do’
Board papers published in 2022 said it intended to break even in 2022/23, but that only £17.8 million of its £55 million savings target was deliverable, the Health Service Journal reported.
Clive Kay, chief executive of the trust who joined in April 2019, said it “mustn’t be complacent”, adding there was “more to do for us at King’s to become financially sustainable, while also improving services for our patients”.
The trust refused to say what proportion of revenue comes from overseas entities.
It has already established a hospital and two satellite clinics based in Dubai. The latest developments are part of an NHS export industry.
Moorfields Eye Hospital Dubai opened in 2007, with a branch in Abu Dhabi in 2016.
King’s has already launched a hospital in Abu Dhabi, with consultants recruited by King’s College Hospital’s clinical leads. In 2019, the King’s partnership opened a £16.5 million 100-bed hospital in Dubai, backed by two satellite clinics.
When the first overseas site in Abu Dhabi opened, the trust boasted that all lead nurses had previously worked at King’s in London, with the site directly overseen by the trust.
Prof Jim Buchan, senior visiting fellow at the foundation, said: “There is a growing international market for well-trained and experienced nurses, and UK nurses are in a good position to help fill that demand.
“With more than 45,000 nursing vacancies in England alone, the NHS is competing in an international labour market for relatively scarce nurses, particularly those with specialist skills and expertise. When competition is fierce, it will be employers who offer the best package of pay, safe staffing and career opportunities who will have the advantage.”
Billy Palmer, workforce lead at the Nuffield Trust think tank, suggested that while the NHS has historically recruited from abroad it might now be more in danger of losing its workers.
“The shoe is on the other foot isn't it? We've benefited hugely from
recruiting from abroad and it's quite intriguing to see the tables have turned on this, and now we're worrying about whether we can compete with other countries,” he said.
Meanwhile the project has won backing from the highest levels of the NHS.
‘Greatly benefit from NHS partner’
When the ground was broken on the building project in 2022, Lord David Prior, then chairman of NHS England, paid tribute to the deal.
The Department for International Trade said the proposed Jeddah development would “greatly benefit from having an NHS partner – King’s College Hospital – which will support the kingdom’s healthcare transformation and allow for valuable expertise and knowledge transfer.”
In January 2023 Lord Prior presided over the launch of King’s International Consortium which also involves the trusts running Guy’s and St Thomas’ hospitals, Moorfields Eye Hospital, the Christie in Manchester and Addenbrookes in Cambridge.
The leaders of the five trusts said the aim was to “export British healthcare collaboratively, by working in partnership with external investors to deliver large-scale international healthcare projects”.
A spokesman for KCH said: “We offer an advisory support and quality assurance role to ensure high standards of clinical care are established and maintained at all overseas hospitals that use the King’s name. The majority of the workforce for these facilities are recruited locally from the host country, not from the UK.”

2023.03.24 23:43 CartesianClosedCat Child molestors: the link between Silicon Valley Bank and Epstein
The problems with the now bankrupt Silicon Valley Bank began before the public eye on March 8, 2023, when the bank failed to sell a $2.5 billion bond issue. This after the bank had to book a loss of 1.8 billion on the sale of a series of US Treasuries. The fact that the sale was loss-making was due to the fact that the FED had raised interest rates. Or at least that's what the general public thinks about it...
However, what I started to wonder is why it was exactly SVB that couldn't get the loan done? The Fed's rising interest rates hit all banks equally: every bank holding USTs faced the same losses. Especially the speed with which the books were put down is astonishing. On March 10, 2023, less than 48 hours later, a regulator decides that the SVB will be closed and transferred in its entirety to the FDIC.
This also ensures that there is no longer any insight into the bank's historical transactions. Tiens? Why would that be? Maybe they have something to hide? That's when a light came on for me, because I've been following the doings of that obscure bank for some time. As of 2021, a certain Elliot Smerling was arrested for embezzling USD 95 million.
This came from a loan of 150 million in total, given by the SVB. And what turned out? The bank had done no due diligence at all. This is how he motivated his application for a loan with a transaction history of a number of very successful participations in companies … that never existed!
Imagine: 150 million was provided on the basis of completely false information. How is this possible? Well, you and I can't do this. But whoever has blackmail power can do anything. Is it a coincidence that Elliot Smerling operated out of Palm Beach?
On March 9, a NY judge will hand down a verdict requiring the transaction history between Jamie Dimon, CEO of JP Morgan, and Jeffrey Epstein to be turned over to the Attorney General of the Virgin Islands, who is now Eric Chancellor. The previous prosecutor, Denise George, had been fired. Because she didn't do her job well? No, just the opposite: she managed to get 150 million from Jeffrey Epstein's estate. So she's a piece of work.
As for Epstein, it is best to quote her verbatim: “Epstein, in conjunction with the other defendants, trafficked and raped underage girls and young women on his properties in the Virgin Islands.” Proven facts. And here it goes: in December 2021, she significantly expanded the list of “other defendants”: Deutsche Bank, Citibank, and last but not least: JP Morgan! Are you starting to understand why she was fired in early 2022?
In fact, where do you think Biden was between Christmas and new? Yup: in the Virgin Islands! Officially to “rest between the holidays”. Well. Soon after, Denise George is outside. By the way, Biden is not ready for his test piece. When son Hunter was mentioned in a corruption file involving Burisma, the Ukrainian gas company, Biden, then vice president under Obama, provided an "aid package" (read: bribe package) to Ukraine of USD 1 billion.
Shortly afterwards, Prosecutor Shokin was indeed fired. Am I the only one starting to see a pattern here? Was SVB perhaps the bank of the kiddyfuckers, and was the sealing of all its transactions very convenient?
If Eric Chancellor doesn't shoot himself in the back of the head with a shotgun, we might have a chance.

Chapter 23: 2008: A Shawn Odyssey
Boys: Shawn
Girls: Courtney, Heather, Shawn
Episode 23: 2008: A Shawn Odyssey
"Last time on Total Drama Action," Chris said over a shot of the film lot. "In a world they didn't create," the four teens were shown waking up in the forest, "two honorable warriors," Shawn and Lindsay's fight was shown, "and two foes battled it out for Kung-fu supremacy," Courtney and Heather were shown fiddling with their joysticks.
"No mountain was too high," Heather and Shawn were shown climbing. "No aquatic creature too viscous," Courtney was shown fighting a jellyfish.
"In the end, Shawn won the reward," the theorist was shown fighting the Sasquatch, "but lost his alliance with Courtney," he and Courtney were shown ending their partnership.
"But it's gonna take more than puny alliances to survive this week," Chris told the camera as it flashed to his close-up, "on Total! Drama! Action!"
XXXXX
The episode opened on a shot of the full moon. A rat walked on-screen in front of the camera as a grandiose tune started to play. The rat sniffed the air then scurried along what was revealed to be the top of a large speaker. The music reached its climax, and the speaker shook so much the rat fell off behind it.
The shot pulled out to show the cast trailers, both flanked by speakers as tall as they were. Further to the left was a tall blueish-green monolith-like set piece. The lights inside the trailers flicked on and the complaints of the castmates echoed out of them. The doors opened, showing the girls filing out; Courtney, then a hunched over Heather, then Lindsay at the end, all three in their pajamas. The camera cut over to the guys' trailer as Shawn exited similarly. The survivalist paused briefly to yawn and stretch his arms, and the camera moved back to the girls.
"What is wrong with those mattresses?" Lindsay asked. "It's like they were full of rocks."
Confessional: Shawn
"I slept on Noah’s bed, so I don’t have the same back problems that the girls do," Shawn said. "The layers on it are super soft."
Confessional Ends
The remaining four met up as a group. Heather looked over to see the lone male scratching his butt and armpit at the same time.
"Can you believe this guy?" Heather commented.
"What a neanderthal," Courtney said.
They looked over at Lindsay, who noticed the monolith off to the side, and pointed at it with a few animalistic grunts.
The shot cut to the top of it, the moon still visible behind it. The camera panned down to its base where Chef sat in a leopard-print loincloth banging on an upside-down soup pot with a couple bones as though it were a drum. Both the castmates and Chris, also wearing a leopard-print loincloth and with his hair unkempt, approached the monolith at the same time.
"Good morning, cast!" Chris greeted as Chef stopped playing. "Or should I say, good middle of the night? Hope you're all well-rested and ready to boldly go where very few men and even fewer ladies have gone before!"
"Wait," Shawn spoke up. "Didn't we already do the caveman movie?"
"We did, Shawn," Chris answered, "but we had to reuse the costumes since my astronomical salary accounts for oh, roughly ninety-seven percent of the show's budget."
"Chris," Heather said, "it is the middle of the night. Can't we do the challenge in the morning?"
"No can do Heather," Chris replied. "While today's movie genre may start at the dawn of time, it quickly moves up, up, and away!" The camera panned up to the night sky as a shooting star flew in front of the moon.
"So we're doing space movies today?" Lindsay asked as if she already knew the answer.
"What was your first clue, Linds-iot?" Heather told her.
Confessional: Lindsay
"I've been called a lot of things, such as moron, dimwit, idiot, and much more," Lindsay said. "I've been trying to prove myself, and no way am I letting Heather drag me down."
Confessional Ends
"Awesome!" Shawn cheered. "I love sci-fi movies."
"Don't you get enough science fiction from those movies you binge watch?" Courtney half-insulted, half-asked the boy.
"Don't you get enough pleasure from looking down and nagging on us?" Shawn retorted.
"Listen up, space cases," Chris interrupted. "You'll soon be facing some out-of-this-world challenges, but first..." He quickly ducked away, and the camera cut to him pushing away the monolith to reveal four small boxes set on a table behind it. "I have a very special surprise for you," he told the cast. "Each of you has received one special item sent to you from the outside world. Which by now," he picked up one of the packages and tossed it to Lindsay, who caught it before Heather was tossed her own gift, "must feel like a distant planet."
He tossed another one like a football and it was caught by Courtney, with Shawn also shown to have received his gift.
Shawn opened his, and looked at a silver tinfoil hat shaped like his beanie with excitement. "My tinfoil hat!" he cheered. "Nice!"
"You have a tinfoil hat?" Lindsay asked.
"Yup," Shawn answered. "It keeps the aliens from reading my brains and what I think."
Confessional: Shawn
"I used to wear this thing all the time," Shawn told the audience. "Unfortunately, my dad confiscated it since it made me look weird and unusual to others. Afterwards, I decided to get the beanie I’m wearing right now."
Confessional Ends
The shot cut to Lindsay as she opened hers and smiled. "My pom poms!" she exclaimed. "My cheer team didn't forget about them!"
The camera cut to Courtney and Heather, both having opened their boxes. The former took out a picture frame and let out a choked sob.
"What's wrong?" Heather asked. "Did you get a photo of a bad hair day?"
"Just… I need a minute," Courtney claimed.
Confessional: Courtney
Courtney had her picture with her. "When I was head of the school debating team, my partner walked out on me during the biggest debate of the year because she felt I wasn't being a "team player". I went on to win it without her! Take that, Brittany Reed!" She revealed her picture, which was her in the middle of a speech. "This photo is a reminder. If you want something done right, you do it yourself!"
Confessional Ends
Heather finally managed to open her box and pulled out a green jawbreaker. "A jawbreaker? How is this a prize?" She asked in frustration.
"I don't know, but sweet things usually go to sweet people," Courtney insulted.
"Damien must have delivered this to me!" Heather growled.
"Who the heck is Damien?" Courtney questioned.
"He's my little brother," Heather answered. "That twerp likes to pull pranks on me every chance he gets. He's almost like Sadie."
"What else were you expecting?" Courtney wondered.
"He could've given me my trophy for the annual ballet contest I participated in when I was eight," Heather grumbled.
Confessional: Heather
"I'm still going to keep this jawbreaker," Heather said as she held it. "Damien may have sent it as a joke, but I won't let him have the last laugh."
Confessional Ends
"Alright gang," Chris addressed the cast, "time to blast off to the great unknown. Everyone knows a good outer space movie has three things in common. One, the zero gravity is always a trip. Two, the G-forces are killer! And three, everything is recycled in space. Including number one, and number two."
"Gross," Courtney winced.
"Eww," Heather said in disgust.
"Which brings us to our first challenge," Chris continued. "I'll meet you at the thrill ride set in ten minutes."
The cast looked at each other in confusion. "Did he say thrill ride?" Lindsay asked.
\
The scene briefly flashed to the full moon behind the water tower for a moment before flashing away again to a close-up of the host, back in his normal clothes.
"The way to achieve zero gravity," Chris explained to the contestants, all of whom have also gotten dressed, "is to fly a jet on a parabolic course. With large vertical climbs, and even larger vertical drops." The camera panned across the faces of the cast, all of which looked freaked. "But with the price of jet fuel today," the scene flashed to a makeshift space shuttle tied to what looked like a roller coaster cart at a boarding platform, "we're gonna simulate the effect on this makeshift space shuttle!"
The shot flashed away again, the camera now panning up a spaceship-themed roller coaster set among several other theme park attractions. "Which will hit the optimum speed needed to keep you all in a perpetual state of zero gravity," the host explained before the shot cut back to him and the cast.
"Are we going to get killed?" Lindsay asked. "I won't go in if it will."
"Is that thing even up to code?" Courtney wondered.
"Your first outer space challenge will be to spend the rest of the night on the shuttle sleeping in zero gravity conditions," Chris told the cast.
"That doesn't sound so difficult," Shawn said with a pleased expression.
\
The footage flashed ahead to a close-up of an intercom speaker as the host's voice came in over it. "Y'all might wanna hold on to something bolted down," Chris told the cast as the camera pulled back to show them holding pillows in their hands, "'cause we're almost ready to launch!"
"Yes!" Lindsay cheered.
"He said launch," Heather told her, "not lunch."
"I know," Lindsay explained. "I just can't wait to be flying inside a spaceship."
The shot cut back to the intercom as an engine was heard starting up over it. "In five! Four! Three! Two! One!" The camera cut outside as the space shuttle strapped to the roller coaster cart shuddered to life. "Blast off!" At Chris' ecstatic signal, the shuttle's engines flared on and the contraption took off along the track. It quickly reached the main peak as the castmates screamed in terror, and the scene cut back inside.
"If I'm gonna die, at least make my death look cool!" Shawn yelled as he clenched his eyes shut. The camera began to pull back from his close-up as he slowly opened his eyes, looked around, and smiled. He and the other three were now floating inside the shuttle's cabin. "How about that? We're floating in mid-air!"
"Alright astronauts," Chris told them, the camera cutting from a close-up of the intercom to the host lounging in his chair at the monitor room watching the cast on the monitors, "it's gonna be a long night. Better get some sleep!" He pressed a button on the keyboard and added "If you can!" The monitor screens switched from Heather and Shawn to Courtney and Lindsay, and the host accepted a cup of coffee from Chef with a laugh.

"Can I borrow any of your pillows?" Courtney asked as she floated around. "I lost mine."
"That's your own fault then," Shawn relaxed on his pillow. "You lose it, you deal with it."
"Fine," Courtney looked away from his former ally. "We are floating in mid-air, so I won't complain… much."
Confessional: Lindsay
"Courtney and Shawn are at each other's throats just like me and Amy," Lindsay said. "There's only one person who could've made them split, which is obviously Heather."
Confessional Ends
The scene returned to a shot of a jawbreaker floating in the air, then panned out to show that Heather was chasing after it. "If that jawbreaker wasn't so big, I would be able to stash it into my pocket!" She said as she floated past Lindsay who was looking at her pom poms.
"At least what you got is tasty," Lindsay said. "I can't eat or lick my pom poms."
"Good thing you're smart enough to know what's edible," Heather snootily responded.
"If they were taffy, I'd likely eat them," Lindsay responded.
Confessional: Heather
Heather was focused on filing her nails. "I assume I'm the favorite to win. I mean, look who's left. A control freak, a smelly nut, and a dumb blonde. And the only thing Lindsay has going for her is that she hasn't made any enemies. Whoop-de-doo! We're not here to make friends. We're here to win." As she talked, she snapped her nail filer in half. "And that is exactly what I plan on doing."
Confessional Ends
The scene cut forward to the castmates as they slept peacefully with their pillows. This only lasted for a couple seconds before an alarm started to sound off loudly, and the lights in the cabin flashed red as the four teens woke up. "This is Houston," Chris said over the loudspeaker, "and you have a problem. You've been hit by an asteroid, and your guidance system is toast!"
"What do we do?!" Lindsay asked in a panic.
"I've watched Race to Save Space 3 before I came to this show," Shawn said. "We have to override the navigation controls."
"Quick!" Heather cried. "Someone grab the joystick thingy!"
Courtney sprung off a nearby wall and darted towards the shuttle's main computer. She grabbed onto a central joystick as she floated by, then planted her feet on the desk and pulled. The camera zoomed in on it and after a few moments of effort the stick moved to the side, shutting off the alarms and returning the lights to normal.
"Way to go Courtney!" Lindsay cheered.
"Nice job," Shawn said.
The camera zoomed in on Heather's jawbreaker as it drifted closer to a small window. It hit the window, cracking it slightly. The camera pulled back again to show it pushing back forward, but the force of its push-off caused the glass to shatter soon after it floated away. The air immediately began to be sucked out of the cabin, and the lights flashed red once more as Heather looked at the broken window with a shocked look.
Confessional: Heather
"At the very least, I can say that I'm not to blame for the window breaking," Heather claimed.
Confessional Ends
Heather, Courtney, Lindsay, and Shawn were shown floating in front of the shuttle controls. "Uh-oh!'" Chris announced jovially over the intercom. "Looks like you have a hole in your fuselage!" He laughed, and the camera panned across a closer shot of the four teens' faces. "You have exactly t-minus-ten minutes to plug the hole, or you'll run out of precious oxygen."
"We have to plug the hole!" Heather yelled.
"We just need something big and form-fitting!" Courtney replied.
They all turned to Lindsay. "Why are you looking at me?"
"We can use your pom poms to fill the hole," Heather said. "It's either that, or death."
Lindsay gave them a brief look and sighed. "They are valuable, but I can get new ones after the show ends."
The scene flashed back outside, the sun already up and the shuttle-coaster still flying along its track. The camera cut to the boarding platform as it finally came to a stop, and Chris was standing in wait as the shuttle door burst open with a puff of steam. One by one, the castmates fell out of it. Lindsay was first, then Courtney, then Shawn; all landed on top of one another in a heap. Heather was the last, and was the only one who maintained her balance.
"Will somebody help me down, or will I have to do it myself?" Heather huffed.
"Go with the second option," Lindsay replied. "There's a ladder in front of you."
Heather rolled her eyes, but climbed down the ladder.
The camera cut to Chef standing outside of the broken window, Lindsay's pom poms sticking out of it. "That was smart, sealing the breach with those pom poms," he said while pulling them out.
"It was my idea," Courtney claimed. "No sweat to it."
"You just love to pat yourself on the back," Shawn rolled his eyes.
Confessional: Shawn
"I really hope that I can get Courtney and Heather out," Shawn confessed. "Lindsay's the only one I'd like to face in the finale."
Confessional Ends
"Nice going Lindsay," Chris told her. "It was your pom poms that saved the group."
"Yes!" Lindsay jumped in Victory with her pom poms on."
"What?" Heather gaped. "I was the one who suggested we fill that hole!"
"Lindsay was the one who actually plugged in the hole," Chris said. "As a reward, she'll get to decide the order of who goes first to last at the next challenge!"
"I got it," Lindsay exclaimed. "The order is me, Courtney, Shawn, and Heather."
Confessional: Lindsay
"I don't know what the next part of the challenge is," Lindsay confessed, "but making sure Heather participates last was just too good to pass up."
Confessional Ends

(Commercial break)
\
The footage cut forward to a shot of the sun over a few of the film lot's fake buildings near one of the studios. The wind was shown blowing a few pieces of paper along the road between the studios, then the shot cut to and upward pan of the fake hill. The camera cut back to the front of a studio as its garage-like door began to open.
A few feet were briefly shown behind the door before the camera moved inside, showing the silhouettes of the four castmates against the light flooding in from outside. The feet were shown again in an angled profile as they began to walk outside, and the shot moved up to show the four staring forward. Lindsay was first, then Shawn, then Courtney, then Heather.
The camera switched to a face-on shot, panning right across the castmates and stopping at Lindsay. A record scratch was heard as Chris ran across the shot with a scowl on his face, the teens following him with their eyes.
"Enough messing around," Chris said before the scene changed to the usual side-view as he addressed the contestants. "Alright gang, if you thought spending the night in zero G's was a stomach-churning experience, then you're gonna love this next challenge! Who can last the longest on the G-force Trainer?" The castmates were shown watching cautiously. "Or as I like to call it," Chris said before the shot quick-panned further to the right, "The Vomit Comet!" The machine he was referring to looked like a bulbous, oversized, and legless space suit attached by a hefty arm to a smaller wheeled cart.
"If you thought you were under pressure before," the host said giddily as the camera panned up a close-up of the suit, "wait 'til you feel the effects of four times Earth's gravitational force!"
"We just ate chili for lunch," Heather said. "This won't be good."
"That was a bad call," Lindsay agreed.
The shot quick-panned over to Chef Hatchet who was standing by a bubbling pot on a small table. "Plenty more where that came from," he told the camera while tapping the side of the pot with a ladle. The camera zoomed in for a close-up, showing a foul-looking vomit-green stew filled with a variety of bones, old socks, and octopus tentacles.
The focus moved back to Chris. "Remember crew, Lindsay's already picked the order, so she's up first."
"Wonderful," Lindsay said with a smile as she approached the machine. "I didn't know we were gonna barf inside this thing, but now that I know the order and I'm going first, I don't have to worry about getting covered in other people's barf."
Courtney quickly grew uncomfortable. "Uh, what's the order she picked for us."
Chris donned a villainous sneer. "You're not going to like this. After Lindsay goes Courtney, Shawn, and last but not least, Heather."
"WHAT!!??" Heather screeched. "Can I trade places with someone?"
"Too late," Chris said. "The order is set."
Heather shot daggers at Lindsay, who smiled innocently and shrugged in response.
Confessional: Lindsay
Lindsay was shown laughing to herself for a couple of seconds. "It's going to take a long time for her to wash the puke off!" She resumed her laughter.
Confessional: Heather
"When this is over, I'm going to kill Lindsay…" Heather shot the camera a deadly glare, "...right after I take a long shower!"
Confessionals End
The scene skipped to Lindsay as she was about to climb the G-force training suit. She looked over and said "This will almost be like the Hurlinator back at the carnival."
"But unlike that heap of junk, you’ll actually hurl inside that suit if you’re unlucky," Chris taunted.
Lindsay dropped into the suit and closed the helmet shut. "Have a nice spin, Lindsay!" Chris said with a wave before pressing the buttons on his stopwatch and remote control simultaneously.
The machine immediately started to move, and Lindsay began cheering out of fun and enjoyment. A bird's-eye view showed the arms rotating rapidly about the wheeled cart it was attached to. The camera cut to a close-up of the viewing window on the helmet, where the blonde's face could clearly be seen. Her happy expression changed to struggling to contain her vomit. She forced it down and exclaimed "Let me out!"
Chris obliged by pressing both buttons again, and the machine slowed to a stop. The helmet swung open and Lindsay pulled herself out. She was frazzled, but she didn’t throw up on herself.
"15.4 seconds!" Chris read off from his stopwatch with a grin. "Pretty impressive for a first run, and despite my theory, you did not hurl!"
"I did not want to smell bad," Lindsay groaned and fell over.
Confessional: Lindsay
"So I have this friend who ate twenty corn dogs as a dare," Lindsay confessed. "When we were inside the car, she started to throw up, and some of it got on us. I'm never eating a corn dog again."
Confessional Ends
"Alright Courtney, you're next," Chris told the control freak who approached him and the training suit. "Lindsay managed to keep her lunch down, so at least you'll have a dry run."
\
The scene flashed forward to Courtney in the suit, already looking nervous. "Let's get this over with," she said before the helmet swung down over her head.
Chris smiled and pressed the button on the remote control, and the camera switched over to the bird's-eye-view of the machine. The rotating arm rapidly built up speed, and unlike Lindsay before her, Courtney immediately screamed in terror. Another viewpoint change showed the panicking type-a through the helmet's viewing window, then back to the bird's-eye-view. The sound of vomiting was heard and the shot cut back to the host.
"27 seconds on the dot!" Chris announced.
"Am I in the lead?" a messy Courtney wondered after climbing out the suit.
"No," Chris answered. "I'm deducting ten seconds for puking."
"That was totally disgusting!" Courtney muttered. "I hope you can handle it, Shawn."
"I've dived through garbage and covered myself in fish guts once," Shawn shrugged her off. "This is nothing I can handle."
"I don't want to say it, but your determination is admirable," Courtney said.
"It's down to you two," Chris told Shawn and Heather. "Shawn, your slightly soiled chariot awaits."
\
"Ready or not, here I come," Shawn got in the suit.
"He's got high confidence," Chris told the camera. "Confidence that's going to disappear." The helmet closed, the buttons were pressed, and the machine began to spin.
The camera cut to the window of the helmet, showing Shawn screaming in panic. Sooner or later, ominous rumbling came from inside the suit and his cheeks bulged.
The scene cut back to Chris just as the sound of puke was heard, and the host stopped both watch and machine. "Whether Shawn will shower or not is up to him," Chris commented as the conspiracy nut exited the suit covered with vomit. "But he will definitely smell like his own lunch now. After the ten second deduction, he comes in at a grand total of 20 seconds."
"Thanks for choosing me to go last, Lindsay," Heather spat at her. "Two people threw up, and I have to be surrounded by their puke."
"Heather, you're the last one," Chris slyly said. "Unless you want to lose out on winning invincibility, I say you get inside the suit now."
Heather looked at the others and narrowed her eyes. "I'm not forfeiting."
Confessional: Heather
"The things I do to keep myself in the game," Heather rolled her eyes.
Confessional Ends
"This is so gross," Heather said in disgust as she got in the vomit-covered suit. "Start it already!" Heather yelled before slamming the helmet shut.
Chris pressed his two buttons. As with the others the camera switched first to a bird's-eye view of the machine as it began to move, then to a close-up of Heather's face through the helmet. Though she was wincing from the bits of vomit dripping down her face, she kept her determination still and wasn't about to quit.
The shot cut outside to the host and the other three castmates as they watched. Chris was focused on the stopwatch in his hands, Shawn was uninterested, Lindsay was nervous, and Courtney was scared.
"She's going longer than I thought she would," Chris said.
"Just barf already!" Courtney shouted.
The sound of vomiting was heard. The camera zoomed in on Chris again as a smile formed and he clicked his buttons, and the machine came to a stop. "That's time!" he called.
"Did I win?" Heather asked after swinging open the helmet and flopping over the side, vomit all over her head, chest, and mouth. "I know that was more than 27 seconds."
"35 and a half seconds! A new Vomit Comet record!" Chris told her.
"I know what this means," Heather grinned in victory.
"Since she lasted the longest inside that machine, I declare Heather the winner of today's challenge!" Chris announced.
"In your face, everyone!" Heather taunted the other three contestants.
"Can you mock us from far away?" Lindsay held her nose.
"We would like to be away from you," Courtney said.
"Never thought I'd say this, but I agree," Shawn stepped back. "You stink really bad, and I have horrible hygiene."
"That's just the smell of victory," Heather said.
A sudden whistle caught the group's attention, and they looked over to see Chef standing on a stepladder calmly slicing a carrot over the open suit. "Hope y'all like gumbo!" he told them before resuming his work.
The camera panned across the castmates and host as all wretched in sheerest disgust.
\
The scene flashed to Lindsay in the girls’ trailer alone. She had a pencil and paper and was seen writing on the paper but what it said was unknown.
"This should be about it," Lindsay said once she was finished.
She folded the paper hamburger style and left her trailer.
Confessional: Lindsay
"You're probably wondering what I'm doing," Lindsay said. "Courtney and Shawn can't stay mad at each other forever. They are a great duo, even if they're total opposites. This may cost me my spot in the game, but if it means repairing a friendship, I'll take that risk because friendship is magic and more important than money."
Confessional Ends
It was soon night time, and after focusing on the moon, the camera panned down to reveal that Shawn was standing near the tree he slept in.
"Lindsay said to meet here," Shawn said. "I don't know why, but I ain't gonna question her."
Soon Lindsay and Courtney both walked to the scene together and Lindsay smiled. "Good to have you both here."
Shawn was stunned to see Courtney. "Why is she here?"
"Why is he here?" Courtney asked in a startled tone.
"I brought you both here so you two could talk," Lindsay smiled brightly.
"I don't want to talk to a deadbeat survivor who can't act normal for more than a minute!" Courtney complained.
"I refuse to be with an uptight politician that thinks only about herself!" Shawn shot back.
"At least I have public decency!" Courtney shouted.
"At least I don't complain when things don't go my way!" Shawn yelled.
"SHUT UP!" Lindsay cried out furiously, earning her shocked looks from both Shawn and Courtney. "You two are clearly crushed and hurt over something really upsetting because if you were not, you wouldn’t be fighting! I’ve seen how close you both are, and I know that a small argument couldn’t be the reason you broke up." Courtney and Shawn's anger diminished as she spoke. "Something big happened but if I were to guess, Heather had something to do with it. Now please just tell each other what happened without screaming at each other!"
Shawn took a few deep breaths before speaking. "Last challenge, Heather told me about Courtney using me in order to make it to the finale."
"Why did you listen to her?" Courtney asked.
"She had a recording of you talking about it with your own voice," Shawn said.
"What exactly did the recording say?" Courtney demanded.
"Don't act so confused," Shawn said. "You said that working with me and Noah was practically torture for you and that you’ll be glad to ditch me once you claim the million!" he brought up angrily.
"If that's what you heard, then you're way wrong," Courtney glared. "I have a vivid memory, and I don't recall saying those things."
"But I heard your voice in the recording," Shawn raised an eyebrow, starting to rethink what he heard.
"I'm starting to think that someone impersonated Courtney's voice just to make her look bad," Lindsay chimed in.
"Shawn's a boy, and no way can you match my octaves, so that means Heather set me up!" Courtney grit her teeth.
Shawn then widened his eyes before groaning. "Your voices are pretty similar."
"See I told you. Heather caused a rift between you guys just like she did to me and Amy," Lindsay said.
"And I fell for her lie," Shawn admitted. "How stupid could I have been?"
Courtney’s gaze softened a bit before saying, "Well… you’re not the only one who’s fallen for it before."
"We've let her come this far," Lindsay continued. "And now that she has invincibility, we can't kick her out today. I just want you two to make up and vote together again."
Shawn and Courtney both turned to Lindsay and Shawn piped up, "But that means you’ll be on the chopping block."
"Friendship is worth more than a briefcase filled with dollars," Lindsay said. "Courtney, you can be really bossy. And Shawn, you can be really messy. But you've come this far. Don't break up your partnership just because of a mean girl."
Shawn looked at Courtney. "I shouldn't have let myself be tricked like that."
"I don't blame you," Courtney said. "I have been acting crazy the last few days. I just wanted to win."
"If I’ll be honest, I missed working with you. It’s not as fun working alone as it used to be once I started putting my faith in others," Shawn admitted.
"You want to patch up our alliance again?" Courtney held out her hand.
"Absolutely," Shawn shook her hand. "I won't let anything break us up again."
Lindsay watched the scene with happiness. "It's nice to see you two comfortable around each other. Jo and Brick are really lucky to be dating you two, if you're actually dating."
Confessional: Courtney
"That was really cool of Lindsay to patch up my friendship with Shawn," Courtney admitted. "I've been taking her for granted up until this point, and I won't think ill of her again."
Confessional Ends
[A grand theme played as the camera zoomed in on the amphitheatre. Several film strips of the host's highlights from the previous season flew past the screen, then the camera panned out from a solid gold screen to show a Gilded Chris.]
\
The camera flashed into a shot of the night sky. "And four," Chris said as the camera panned down to the amphitheater, "shall soon become three, as we bid farewell to another cast member. Everyone, cast your votes."
The shot cut to the cast members in the bleachers. Courtney and Shawn were on the top row and Heather and Lindsay on the bottom.
Courtney sighed before casting her vote.
Lindsay thought for a second before she made her vote.
Shawn shrugged and casted his vote.
Heather smirked deviously and then made her vote.
The scene flashed to a close-up of the three gilded statuettes on a tray held by Chef, who was wearing his formal pink gown once again.
"And the Gilded Chris goes to...," Chris began to read from his envelope, "Heather and Shawn," the two were shown catching their awards. Courtney and Lindsay were shown in a split screen and they both braced themselves.
"And the last statue goes to…" Chris said slowly as the music reached its peak, "No one yet!"
"What's going on?" Lindsay wondered.
"It seems we have a situation similar to episode fifteen," Chris told them. "Courtney and Lindsay got the most votes at two per contestant."
"Not again!" Courtney moaned.
"Is there going to be a tiebreaker?" Lindsay asked.
"You bet your boots there is," Chris said and turned to Chef. “Got any gumbo left?”
“Two pots full of it!” Chef cackled. “What do you want with it?”
“In order to stay in the game, Lindsay and Courtney have to eat a pot filled with Chef’s very own gumbo!” Chris declared to them.
“You do know that Chef made it with our own vomit!” Lindsay proclaimed.
“I know. That’s what makes it fun. For me!” Chris laughed.
“If I have to do this, then bring out the barf-bo,” Courtney shivered.
\
The scene switched to Courtney and Lindsay on the stage of the amphitheater. They were sitting on chairs while holding pots of gumbo and large spoons.
“Now remember,” Chris walked over to the two. “If you don’t finish your pot, you’re not going into the final two. Got it?”
“I did come this far,” Lindsay said.
“I’ll accept the challenge. I won’t give up when I’m this close to the finale,” Courtney said.
Heather and Shawn were watching from far away. “I’m rooting for you, Courtney!” the latter cheered.
“Whoever loses or wins, I don’t care,” Heather said.
"And… go!" Chris started the tiebreaker.
As soon as he said those words, Courtney and Lindsay began putting gumbo into their mouths. Courtney was rapidly scooping the meal while Lindsay was sipping on it. Both girls were repulsed, but they still wanted to be in the game.
Lindsay saw that Courtney was halfway done with her pot, so she started to follow her path and scoop up the gumbo in hopes of catching up to her.
Just when it seemed like Courtney was about to finish, her stomach started to grumble from what she'd eaten. She tried to fight it, but eventually, she puked inside of her pot.
Seeing that she had an opportunity to win, Lindsay opened her mouth widely and poured the gumbo in. Afterwards, she placed her pot down.
"I'm finished!" she declared, only to feel nauseous and barf into her pot.
"Man, you girls are sick!" Chris teased them. "Regardless, Lindsay's still in the game, and Courtney just went from 22nd to 4th place in two seasons!"
"Drats!" Shawn complained.
Both girls have finished throwing up. "Looks like you have to go," Lindsay told Courtney.
"I know," Courtney moped. "I almost got to the million dollars, and I've never been in 4th place before."
"At least you did much better than before, and you're not wearing a chicken hat this time," Shawn said.
Courtney smiled in response. "I wanted to win the season, but I did learn to value friendship and cooperation, and like Lindsay said, those are more worthy than cash."
"I'm just glad you're not being mean to me for once," Lindsay said.
"We'll take down Heather and be the final two," Shawn said. "We promised Noah, and we're also promising you as well."
"Not sorry to interrupt," Chris got between them, "but Courtney should be getting going right about now."
"Shove it, McLean!" Courtney shoved Chris to the floor with one hand. "I'm saying goodbye to my friends, but I will enter the Lame-osine soon."
\
The footage skipped ahead to Courtney standing near the limo. She saw Lindsay and Shawn waving goodbye to her. After returning the gesture, she entered the limo with a smile on her face. The limo's tires revved up and sped off into the night, leaving behind two trails of fire.
Just as Shawn and Lindsay were about to go to their trailer, they were stopped by a snobby voice.
"Love to stick around, but it's been a long day and I'm gonna hit the showers," Heather bragged and got off the stage. "Great work, everybody."
While Lindsay rolled her eyes and left, Shawn stayed back, but had a face filled with anger and vengeance.
\
The scene cut to a shot of the washroom. Inside, Heather was bathing herself and humming a tune.
Unbeknownst to her, Shawn snuck to the side of the bathroom. He had a barrel filled with gumbo with him. After placing it down, he hooked the shower pipe to the barrel, wrapped it with tape, and turned the wheel to let the gumbo flow through.
Heather was heard screaming once the gumbo rained on her. "What the... Ew! Ugh, oh! Is this sewage?! Stop it! Stop! Oh! No!"
Seeing that his job was done, Shawn laughed to himself and turned in for the night as Heather continued to scream in anguish.
Chris popped up into the camera's view. "And you'll see how our remaining contestants suffer next time on Total Drama Action!"
(Roll the Credits)
\
(Bonus Clip)
"I want Shawn to win Season 2, but I won't mind if Lindsay does the job for him," Courtney said inside the limo. "She's pretty capable of handling herself, and I did hear about her plan to become the Queen of France, which I kinda want to see come to fruition." The C.I.T. laughed for a few seconds. "I know my parents want me to succeed and thrive for victory, but I'm certain that they'll see how far I've gotten in the competition and be proud of it. That's not to say I won't quit trying. I just have to never give up."

2023.03.24 22:46 TheNewbieInvestor Enphase Energy and why this could be a great time to buy it [Bullish Analysis]
Over the last few years, there has been a lot of solar stocks that have tried to establish themselves on the market. However, one of them stands out above the rest and that is Enphase Energy (ENPH). Recently, Enphase Energy has taken a tumble, dropping by 26.5% in the last 6 months! Currently, the stock trades at about $195 dollars after going up to almost $340 dollars in December of 2022. Today, we are going to take a look at some reasons why we should be bullish on Enphase Energy.
Growth Monster
First of all, the growth! Enphase Energy is a growth monster! The expected EPS growth over the next 3 years is between 20 and 35% annually! There is not a lot of stocks that can do this, but Enphase Energy is at the center of a rapidly growing industry. The solar sector, obviously. Everyone knows that solar is the next big thing in energy. Unlike other solar companies which focus on solar panels or operations, Enphase Energy is focusing on the products that make these solar panels work and connect to the grid. Microinverters, batteries and all the small electrical products in between, even electrical vehicle chargers after Enphase Energy acquired ClipperCreek in December 2021. They have made a number of other acquisitions to help streamline the process for installing its products, getting customers, utilizing the IoT devices and solutions that Enphase offers and so on. Plus, they are developing newer, better products to improve their value offering! One product of Enphase Energy that I am extremely excited about is the Portable Energy System. It was originally introduced to investors as something that is being developed for off-grid communities such as rural Indian communities. The total addressable market there is really massive and I think that once this product is introduced, Enphase Energy will take things to the next level! Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find much about it recently, but it still in development so I will keep an eye out for any news and let you know.
Now, the best thing about these specific products is that they have much higher margins than solar panels. That's what allows Enphase Energy to grow at such a rapid pace. Since 2018, Enphase Energy has gone from $316 million in revenue to $2.3 billion! In the last quarter, Enphase Energy made about $724 million and they are expecting the next quarter to be around $700 to $740 million. When it comes to net income, it has also risen from a loss of $11.6 in 2018 to almost $400 million in 2022! Enphase Energy also has a steady, stable free cash flow which has grown from $47 million in 2018 to $501 million in 2022. That's a compounded annualized growth of 60%! Sixty percent! Now, I don't expect the company to keep it up, but even if it grows by 30 or even 20%, that is still outstanding. As you know, the solar market is only just getting started and Enphase Energy is already at the vanguard, leading the market in terms of microinverters and other products. How can you not be bullish on that?
Management and Expenses
The second bullish reason is that the management team of Enphase Energy is focused on expense control. The biggest problem with companies that grow rapidly is the fact that they expand too fast or they cannot get their finances in order. Enphase Energy is clinical in that regard. They have a strict operational model of 35% gross margin, 15% operating expenses and 20% operating margin. A big reason why they manage to keep their expenses low is because they focus their manufacturing operations in India and Mexico. Enphase Energy is also starting to manufacture microinverters in Romania so that they have better access to the European market while keeping expenses relatively low. Interestingly enough, Enphase Energy will also begin manufacturing of microinverters in the US thanks to the Inflation Reduction Act. I think the estimated date for the opening of the US manufacturing is somewhere around the second quarter of 2023, but the idea here is that a lot of the expenses will be offset by the tax credits from the Inflation Reduction Act.
Finances
The third bullish reason is their finances. They are solid. Rock solid. A quick glance at the balance sheet tells us that Enphase Energy has a steady hand on their finances. Even though they have $1.2 billion in long-term debt, they have a cash position of $1.6 billion to cover that. Their accounts receivables cover their accounts payables by almost 4 times. I know a lot of people don't really care about a company's finances too much. I personally have. I have always preferred companies with lower debt and I think this is going to be a lot more important going ahead with interest rates currently being at 5%. It will be a lot more expensive for companies to manage their debt so seeing that Enphase Energy has no issues there is a big green flag in my books.
Valuation
So, with Enphase Energy we have a market leader in solar, we have a rapidly growing company, we have a good management team, we have solid finances. What is the price tag here? How much are we paying right now? Like I said, Enphase Energy dropped 26.5% in the last 6 months to a price of about $195 dollars. Now, the valuation looks expensive at first glance. The forward PE ratio is 37, but is is much lower than the historical average for Enphase Energy of 60.1. Plus, the price-to-earnings growth ratio is only 0.77! With growth companies, that's really the most important thing to look at. How much are we paying for the growth? In this case, it's not that much! Anything under 1 is undervalued so 0.77 is great value. Forward price-to-book and forward price-to-sales ratios are looking expensive again at 19.15 and 8.8, but again, they are not that important when it comes to rapidly growing companies. It is obvious they are going to be high. There is no other way.
Now, really, the main question with Enphase Energy is do we think they are going to grow this fast? If yes, then the price is great. If not, then we are going to be buying one very expensive company. Personally, I want to be optimistic and here is why: the last time Enphase Energy missed earnings estimates was in December 2018, more than five years ago! They keep beating estimates with about 10 to 20% surprise. Of course, past performance doesn't mean they will continue to do that in the future, but my point here is that Enphase Energy has given us no reasons to doubt them. Right now, the company is trading 20% under its 100 and 200-day moving average and, really, the price right now offers you a great opportunity to jump in if you are optimistic about the company. If not, well, thank you for sticking around and reading the full post.
Either way, let me know what you think in the comments below. Are you bullish? Are you bearish? What do you think?

[Anti-Christ heroin man]
They hung (Grey 5) a sign (Grey 5) up (White 4) in our town (White 4)
"If you live (White 4) it up (White 4), you won't live (Grey 5) it down (Grey 5)"
So she left (White 4) Monte Rio (White 4), son (White 4)
Just like (White 4) a bullet (Grey 5) leaves a gun (Grey 5)
With her charcoal eyes (White 4) and Monroe hips (Blue 2)
She went (White 4) and took (Grey 5) that California (Red 1) trip (Blue 2)
Oh (Red 1), the moon (Blue 2) was gold (Grey 5),
her hair (Grey 5) like wind (Blue 2)
Said, "don't (Blue 2) look back (White 4),
just come on (White 4), Jim (Blue 2)"
[Anti-Christ heroin man]
Oh (Red 1), you got to (White 4)
hold on (Grey 5), hold on (Grey 5)
You gotta (White 4) hold on (Grey 5)
Take my hand (Grey 5),
I'm standing (Red 1) right here (White 4),
you gotta (White 4) hold on (Grey 5)
[Anti-Christ heroin man]
Well (Blue 2), he gave her (Red 1) a dimestore watch (Grey 5)
And a ring (Grey 5) made (White 4) from a spoon (Grey 5)
Everyone's (Red 1) looking (Blue 2)
for someone (White 4) to blame (Blue 2)
When you share (White 4) my bed (Blue 2),
you share (White 4) my name (Red 1)
Well (Blue 2), go ahead (White 4)
and call (White 4) the cops (Red 1)
You don't meet (White 4) nice girls (Red 1) in coffee shops (White 4)
She said, "baby (White 4), I still love you (Blue 2)"
Sometimes (White 4) there's nothin'(Grey 5) left to do (White 4)
[Anti-Christ heroin man]
Oh (Red 1), but you got to (White 4)
hold on (Grey 5), hold on (Grey 5)
Babe (Blue 2), you gotta (White 4)
hold on (Grey 5) and take my hand (Grey 5)
I'm standing (Red 1) right here (White 4),
you gotta (White 4) hold on (Grey 5)
[Anti-Christ heroin man]
Well (Blue 2),
God bless (White 4) your (White 4)
crooked little heart (Grey 5)
St. Louis (Red 1) got (Blue 2) the best of me (White 4)
I miss (Blue 2) your (White 4) broken China voice (White 4)
How I wish (Blue 2) you were (White 4) still here (Blue 2) with me (White 4)
Oh (Red 1), you build it up (White 4), you wreck it down (Grey 5)
Then you burn (Grey 5) your mansion (White 4) to the ground (Grey 5)
Oh (Red 1), there's nothing left (Grey 5) to keep (Grey 5) you here (White 4)
But when you're falling behind (White 4)
in this big blue world (Blue 2)
[Anti-Christ heroin man]
Oh (Red 1), you've got to (White 4)
hold on (Grey 5), hold on (Grey 5)
Babe (Blue 2), you gotta (White 4) hold on (Grey 5)
Take my hand (Grey 5),
I'm standing (Red 1) right here (White 4),
you gotta (White 4) hold on (Grey 5)
[Anti-Christ heroin man]
Down by (Grey 5) the Riverside motel (White 4)
It's ten below (White 4) and falling (Grey 5)
By a ninety-nine cent store (White 4)
She closed her eyes (Grey 5) and started swaying (White 4)
But it's so hard (White 4) to dance (Blue 2) that way (White 4)
When it's cold (White 4) and there's no music (Grey 5)
Oh (Red 1), your old hometown's (Grey 5) so far away (White 4)
But inside your head (White 4) there's a record (Grey 5) that's playing (White 4)
[Anti-Christ heroin man]
A song (Blue 2) called (White 4) "Hold On" (Grey 5), hold on (Grey 5)
Babe (Blue 2), you gotta (White 4) hold on (Grey 5)
Take my hand (Grey 5), I'm standing (Red 1) right there (White 4),
you gotta (White 4) hold on (Grey 5)

2023.03.24 22:37 Legitimate_Vast_3271 Update on Ohio Train Derailment
(This is an update to an earlier post concerning the Ohio train derailment.)
Here's why it's hard to clean up toxic waste from the East Palestine train derailment
". . . More than 700 tons of contaminated soil and nearly two million gallons of liquid have been collected from the derailment site, Ohio officials say, with much more left to clean up under the order of the Environmental Protection Agency.
The effort to remove vast amounts of contaminated soil and water from the small town in eastern Ohio has involved at least seven different licensed hazardous waste disposal facilities across four states: Ohio, Indiana, Michigan and Texas. . .
. . . So far, more than 1.8 million gallons of wastewater have been collected from the derailment site, along with 700 tons of contaminated soil, according to the latest figures from the office of Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine.
Most of the water collected so far has already been transported to disposal facilities, officials say. . ."
https://www.npr.org/2023/03/03/1160481769/east-palestine-derailment-toxic-waste-cleanup "The source of the cargo in Madison, Illinois, was a shut-down uranium-rod production facility of the infamous Dow Chemical company (of Agent Orange notoriety), more recently operating under the cover name of Spectrulite. Since the mid-1990s, the radioactive site, located across the Mississippi River from St. Louis, has been under a “clean-up” (toxic containment) effort by the EPA, which has resisted designating the huge mess as a permanent hazardous waste dump. The chlorine-based compound inside the five suspect tanker cars was falsely described by the EPA and Norfolk Rail as “vinyl chloride”, a rather innocuous substance, in a cover-up of the actual content of highly volatile vinylidene chloride. The latter, a powerful oxidizing agent also known as 1,1 Dichloroethene, was used by Dow to clean uranium fuel rods at the Madison facility, where it has since been stored in steel holding tanks."

It contaminated the water and the soil. So they are sending it to different water treatment plants in different states.)
Wastewater from Ohio train derailment could be processed at Back River Waste Water Treatment Plant
" . . . Wastewater collected from the Ohio train derailment site could be treated in Maryland, Baltimore City and Baltimore County officials announced Friday afternoon.
Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott said the city received a letter late Thursday from contractor Clean Harbors Environmental and Industrial Services, stating that the company has been selected by the Environmental Protection Agency to treat and discharge the wastewater collected from rain water at the city-run Back River Waste Water Treatment Plant in Dundalk. . ."

Repairs underway at Back River Wastewater Treatment Plant after explosion last week
"The Department of Public works announced repairs to the centrifuge machines at the Back River Wastewater Treatment Plant, after a gas-led fire caused an explosion inside a city-contracted building on the premises last week."
