Fuel Line $$$ - What Happened?!
I was hoping to replace my m52 swap’s fuel rail feed line for a reasonable price and found this FCP link for 5 meters of CRP 8x13 for $14. But it’s out of stock everywhere, and the genuine listed below is $53 for 1 meter! Plus the next best price I can find is $25.45 for 1 meter from the same brand?!??! Auto parts stores are about the same at $7-10 per foot for 5/16 inch high pressure.
I get supply chain issues and all that, but now I can’t even get an uncut 5m piece from FCP CRP, and at around $25 per 1 meter section that makes ~$125 for 5 pieces of 1 meter (as compared to $14)! What happened?!

2023.05.29 06:49 artorres21 FCPEuro VW Maintenance Kit

FCPEuro VW Maintenance Kit
What’s up guys, bought a 2016 GTI S last month and looking to do some maintenance. It’s got 48,000 miles on it. There’s a kit on sale on FCP Euro for Liqui Moly oil change kit, spark plugs and Mann filters.
Wondering if it’s a good deal, or anywhere else I should look? Molygen vs Leichtlauf? Mann vs Hengst filters? And are the NGK spark plugs recommended over OE, or what’s a better replacement. Don’t really plan on modifying anything anytime soon in terms on tuning. Mainly leaning towards FCP because of their lifetime warranty coverage, but any advice/suggestions are welcome. Thanks in advance.

2023.05.29 02:48 epicbro101 Tuned MK6 Misfire Diag. Help

Wondering if anyone can help me start diagnosing. For reference i have a 2011 GTI w/ DSG that ive been APR tuned on since November 2020. I replaced coils and plugs in November 2022 (red top coils and oem ngk plugs) and the last couple months whenever i give it hard accel the car hesitates and i can feel and hear it. Funny thing is ive been brushing this off as the transmission slipping because thats known to happen when you tune the engine but not the trans. Ive never gotten a CEL or flashing CEL that was bc of a misfire, until last night when i guess i stayed in it a bit longer and i got a flashing CEL (misfire). I kind of had an “aha!” moment but now i get to figure out why the car has been misfiring for the past few months. I have OBDeleven and i obv scanned it right as i got home and i had three codes: random misfire (p0300), cylinder 2 misfire (p0302), and turbo underboost (p0299). I bought the coils and plugs through FCP euro so i wouldn’t mind just replacing those to start or swapping coils around to see if the cylinder follows. Thanks in advance for help.

Bad idea or good idea
So shift linkage came apart while driving, would it be a bad idea to weld these two parts together?? It’s an arm connecting from trans to the shifter. Asking bc I accidentally made the inside of the hole uneven

Bad idea or no ?
Bmw e46 selector rod joint is uneven on the inside(Idek how I did that) but would it be a bad idea to just weld it to the rod? It’s suppose to stay in place anyways so it doesn’t seem like a terrible idea.

2023.05.26 20:42 yabigboi802 What’s the best video guide for a cooling system refresh?

I bought the basic cooling system refresh kit on FCP euro, and also a new fan blade, serpentine belt, and AC drive belt; and am wondering what the best video to guide me through it will be. I’d prefer a video that just shows all the basic stuff like the water pump, expansion tank, hoses, and thermostat, versus everything including the radiator
Also, do I need a T50 & T60 or just a T50? 02’ 330xi AT

Would this be a good radiator to buy?
I have a 2004 325CI M56 5speed manual, recently discovered a leak in my radiator. I replaced the upper radiator hose because I originally thought that was the source of the leak, but it is the radiator right behind the upper radiator hose. I was wondering if this would be a better option than an OEM radiator. Any feedback appreciated!!

Carbon cleaning advice
As a home mechanic I’m wondering how people feel about doing the carbon cleaning themselves. Myself and my wife work on our cars and we virtually never use a shop for service. I know I need to get it done and I’m very familiar with the FCP Euro kit for walnut blasting the carbon. It is however something I have never done. If you’ve done it yourself please let me know if you have any advice, equally if you recommend letting a shop do it for around $1000.00 please let me know why. Your help and feedback is greatly appreciated.

2023.05.18 23:59 laborinstructor Liqui moly additives?

I used to have a BMW and trusted FCP Euro with everything. I recently heard about all these various liqui moly additives and cleaners and FCP euro seems to promote that they do work and aren’t just snake oil.
Anyone have more insight on whether this is worth it or not? If Cera Tec and Jectron and the gas system cleaner do what they advertise it seems like relatively cheap insurance to help protect an engine. But I am skeptical that they do anything.
TIA for any opinions!

2023.05.18 17:09 Skippy_99b Has anyone had any experience with any N55 water pumps/thermostats from Amazon?

Please don't just say "I wouldn't" or "buy from FCPEuro" as many people including me have had good luck with parts from Amazon, particularly URO branded parts at less than half the price of the least expensive FCP euro parts. I collect and restore BMWs and own 11 of them. I'm specifically looking for reviews from anyone who has purchased and installed a URO pump/thermostat or any "good" brand N55 pump set from Amazon. If that isn't you, please keep scrolling, you don't need to tell me about parts from China or the FCPEuro warranty. (Sorry to sound snarky, but I am really just looking for recommendations about parts from Amazon from people who have used them and these threads often fill up with completely unrelated comments.) I'm getting ready to replace hoses, pump and thermostat on my E70 N55.

Need help finding bolts!
I am replacing my rear control arms but the kit doesn’t bring bolts to install, I don’t want to reuse the ones on the car, could someone help me figure out which bolts I need for these parts, and if you know where I could get them, I found these from advanced auto parts (2nd pic) but I don’t know if they will fit
