I just had my first baby. Things have been amazing and my parents are thrilled to be grandparents for the first time.
Unfortunately we are two weeks in and my boundaries are being tested.
I have a sister who is a terrible human. She has ruined years of my life and I will never see her again if I have any say. My parents are aware of our relationship and the years of trauma she has caused. To say I hate her is an understatement. I have felt this way my entire life.
Ever since I got pregnant it has been very important that my son never have a relationship with her as she is not a safe person. I have made this abundantly clear to my parents for 10+ months.
Even though I haven’t seen her in years my parents have had a hard time understanding this boundary.
I told them I don’t want her to know anything about me or my baby. I have asked them to stop sharing all the details with her but when my sister asks about my baby and I, they answer.
My sister has been blowing up their phones asking about my baby nonstop. She has asked for photos and said she believes she had a right to my son now that she is an aunt.
My parents stayed with me for the first few nights after the hospital. During this time it was clear they were texting her a play by play of everything that was happening.
I was exhausted and on a lot of drugs so it took me a few days to realize the extent of how much they were sharing. It felt like having two spies in my home sharing my most vulnerable moments with the one person I hate.
Because of this, my parents don’t have any photos of my son. All the photos are on my phone or my husbands phone.
Both my parents refuse to stop sharing details of my life with my sister. I know if I send them photos they will immediately send it to her. They also agree my sister has a right to my baby.
My parents are mad at me and think I am acting selfish and punishing them. They have called me crying a few times this week. They told me they have canceled all their plans and are avoiding neighbors because they are so embarrassed that they don’t have photos of their grandchild.
I would have no problem with them sharing a photo with their friends but I know it doesn’t end there. Everything I share with them goes right back to my sister.
I am asking for privacy and for them to tone down the amount they share with my sister. They are trying to convince me that I am crazy and am being controlling. They told me I am sucking the fun out of being grandparents and they should be able to share whatever they want.
Am I crazy for having this boundary? They are making me feel like a terrible person.

So my (35f) grandmother (90f) had been having health troubles since shortly before Christmas. About three weeks ago, she was admitted to the hospital where she rallied briefly before declining quickly and we were told it was time for hospice.
Early yesterday morning, she passed away in her sleep. My older sister and I were notified shortly before 8:30am. Just before 3:30pm (a full six hours later), I posted (what I thought was) a touching tribute to her, along with a few photos of us from my high school graduation and my wedding.
About an hour later, I received a Facebook message from my cousin stating the family (apparently, I’m chopped liver) wasn’t too happy about my Facebook post and some of the photos and wanted me to take it down as now is not the time to post it. (I’m still not clear when, in their eyes, the appropriate time is).
I replied that there is nothing wrong with my post and that I wouldn’t be taking it down. My page is private and I was Facebook friends with only five family members on that side - all of whom would have been in the first group informed, so no one was being blindsided.
A few minutes later, my uncle commented on my page that if I didn’t quit, I wouldn’t be welcome at any ceremony. I again responded nothing is wrong with my post and wouldn’t be taking it down.
A few hours after that, another cousin (the first cousin’s brother) messaged me saying I needed to respect the family (again, chopped liver) and take down my post until every family member had been notified. I advised I was informed by the first cousin (prior to making my post) that all the family had been notified and that I’m not even friends with 99% of our family. I also stated that threatening me with not being welcome at the funeral was a disgusting move and they should all be ashamed of themselves.
Today, I sent a screenshot of my uncle’s message to my mother and asked her what her brother’s problem is. She said it’s not just him and told me “out of respect for your grandma, don’t post any more pictures.” I said that I’m completely unclear how anything I have posted is disrespectful and that I’m appalled at being talked to as if I’m not even family, much less a granddaughter.
I later received a message from a number I did not know saying they were relaying a message, which stated that “we are all grieving, but that this is about grandma and not me, the drama is not needed, and to stop making it about me.” I pointed out that I wasn’t the one causing drama, then was able to trace the number back to someone who is Facebook friends with my younger sister’s husband.
My husband thinks my family is nuts and, honestly, I’m completely baffled by this. So, AITA for making a Facebook post about my grandmother’s passing?

Well, it sucks to be here… but here it goes. My wife and I have been married for 4 years. We started dating 2.5 years before we got married.
A couple months ago I felt the need to ask my wife if she’d ever cheated on me before. I was specific in clarifying that I meant “have you ever” including when we were dating. She hesitated for a moment before insisting that she had not. Over the next few weeks I couldn’t shake the hesitation so I asked again one night and she broke down and began admitting that she had cheated on me with her ex.
Apparently, 3 months into our relationship she spent a night at his apartment. A short time after that they had dinner at her apartment and discussed the possibility of getting back together but it turned into an argument and he left. A couple months later from there, she moved in with me in a town an hour away & at some point while living with me she met her ex in a parking lot where she says she cried and they talked and kissed but nothing more. This was easily 7-8 months into our relationship. Then about a year into our relationship she sent him a picture with her shirt up. This picture I actually found on her phone back then but she insisted that it wasn’t sent to anyone… I knew better but we moved past it. Fast forward 5 years later and I’m just now learning about all this.
So, I obviously wanted to know all the details about their communication and conveniently she can’t remember a lot of it but she says that the day before we got married she texted all of her exes to inform them that she was getting married (wtf?). Then, about a year into our marriage her ex texted her and they had a nice little catch up conversation where she shared a picture of her recently colored hair as well as our dog which she got when she was dating him.
I’ve never had any suspicion of her being unfaithful in any way besides when I first found that photo. I’m so hurt and so angry. I have no idea how to move forward. It feels silly to consider divorce for something that happened so long ago but it happened during what I consider to be the foundation of our relationship and it feels like all the happiness we share today is predicated on a lie. If I knew any of this before we got married I would not have married her.
I am desperate for some advice from someone with a similar experience as this is not the same as an affair that happened during marriage or recent cheating. Idk. I just need help.

Once upon a time, it was commonplace for online games to have subscription fees. The earliest popular graphical online games, including Ultima Online and EverQuest, all had recurring service fees, as did many games that came after, such as Final Fantasy XI and World of Warcraft.
That model has largely given way to the "freemium" model where the publishers give the game itself away for free, but much of the game's content is locked behind the choice of either extended play times "grinding" for materials, or the option of skipping that grind with a real-money payment.
However, some games have both, and that usually includes the longest-lived and most-successful ones. Sega's ten-year-on Phantasy Star Online 2 is free-to-play, but has extensive cash purchases and also has a "premium" subscription available. In Final Fantasy XIV and the venerable World of Warcraft, the subscription fee is still required despite the presence of a cash shop.

Grand Theft Auto Online has a lot of similarities to what we usually think of as qualities of "MMO" games. While it isn't "massively multiplayer" on a local scale—sessions normally include a maximum of 32 players—there are tens of thousands of players online at any given moment. It has named player characters with persistent progress and all of the other things we think of from MMO games: equipment, appearance customization, player housing, difficult multiplayer "raid" events, and so on.
With that context in mind, it probably shouldn't be a surprise that Rockstar is launching a subscription service for GTA Online. It's called GTA+, and it costs $6 a month. Ponying up for the premium subscription earns you a cool $500,000 in the in-game GTA$ currency every month and extra GTA$ on "Shark Cards," as well as exclusive benefits. Here's the list of benefits for the first month: The Principe Deveste Eight — along with a complimentary Hao’s Special Works upgrade for it before it is made available to purchase by the general public — plus the HSW Orange Trip and HSW CMYK Glitch Liveries. The Auto Shop located in La Mesa, introduces an assortment of gameplay updates from Los Santos Tuners. Current Auto Shop owners can relocate to La Mesa at no additional cost. Waived LS Car Meet Membership fees. Current LS Car Meet members with GTA+ will be reimbursed GTA$50,000 during this event period. Yacht owners can upgrade to the Aquarius Super Yacht at no additional cost. The Gussét Frog Tee and Broker Prolaps Basketball Top and Shorts automatically added to your wardrobe. The Conveyor Livery for the Mammoth Avenger, HVY APC, and TM-02 Khanjali. It would be easy to criticize Rockstar for this move because the company has already taken $60 of your money for the game. That's to say nothing of the grind-heavy nature of GTA Online that practically forces players to purchase Shark Cards for in-game currency if they want to make progress at any kind of reasonable rate. There's also the fact that the company is charging money for what is honestly an extremely minor update on the current-generation consoles.
In the interest of fairness, though, we'll note that many players who bought GTA V (including GTA Online) purchased it nearly a decade ago. Just like other major online games, GTA Online has seen years of additional content and improvements through continual updates, and that stuff does cost money to create.

If you own GTA V, you don't actually have to pay Rockstar anything to play it for the rest of eternity, so giving players an option to spend a little every month to support continued development is fair. However, the list of benefits, at least for the first month, is pretty weak.
There's another caveat, too: this program is only available to players on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles. We've asked Rockstar if GTA+ will be coming to the PC version, and will update this post if we get a response.

Feeling guilty, but also justified. My MIL has always been rude and passive aggressive, honestly I suspect narcissistic personality, husband thinks bpd. Husband and her don’t have a very good relationship- he was an only child on her side, but his dad remarried and he has step and half siblings on that side, which she obviously hates. She has always put a lot of expectations and pressure on husband to fulfill her emotional needs and he has started to resent her. He started standing up to her a few months ago and he feels much better. My relationship with her is very hot and cold- either she’s nice and acts caring or is indignant over some perceived slight and treats me like garbage.
Husband and I just had our first baby a few weeks ago. Their relationship is still a little weird from their “fight” (aka hubs standing up to her) right around Christmas, but he invited her to the hospital to meet the baby when he was born in mid Jan, and Mil came over one other time to hang out with baby in the ten weeks he’s been here. She has been texting me directly for baby updates and photos. She says shes always available for help, but of course says she can’t any time I’ve asked for help…
She has been wanting to go “mall walking” with me and the baby since it’s still cold where we live so she can see the baby. She lives like a half hour from me, and I’ve been back at my part time WFH job, where I have to balance working and taking care of the baby, and have started working part time at an old job, where I’ve been bringing the baby in with me. My husband works 4 10 hour days a week. I have been struggling very hard to stay on top of everything. Needless to say, I haven’t been able to make the trip down to her, last week the baby was sick, and this week I had a long day at work and then a virtual doctor’s appt for the baby. She sent a passive aggressive message when I explained I couldn’t make it again this week, saying I should feel guilty for “punking out two weeks in a row” and I owe her two baby hangs to make up for it. It was the last straw on a very hard day and I cried when telling my husband about the exchange. I said I wasn’t going to respond, but he was also mad and said he would. He told her to not make me feel guilty, I had a baby 10 weeks ago and am working 1.5 jobs while taking care of the baby on my own most days, and if she wants to see the baby so bad she can come over and take him for a walk on her own to give me a break to breath. She of course blew up that I can’t take a joke, that I should ask her if I need help (hello, I have many times) and a bunch of other stuff and told him to not text her again because she will not be disrespected. I am so appreciative that my husband stood up for me, but I can’t help but feel guilty for causing this latest fight. Basically, am I the asshole here?

After a week with the focus on central banks, economic data will be back at the center, surrounded by the ongoing banking crisis. The DXY finished the week lower, but looking stronger, resurfacing even as US yields tumbled, helped by a deterioration in market sentiment.
A new market season started on March 8 with the Silicon Valley Bank collapse. In the most recent episode, more central banks decided to raise rates showing determination to bring inflation down despite banking jitters. Developments in the banking sector will continue to be critical for sentiment and monetary policy expectations. It has tightened bank credit standards, doing part of the central bank's job. Next week, central bankers will probably stay close to the recent guidance next week.
On Wednesday, the Federal Reserve (Fed) raised rates by 25 bps as expected, signaling a dovish pace of future hikes. Initially, markets reacted by selling the US Dollar, and Wall Street cheered timidly. That day, markets heard from Fed officials for the first time since the banking system crisis.
Wall Street finished the week with modest gains, and the VIX dropped sharply. Still, regional bank stocks remain under pressure and with the potential to damage confidence significantly. During the weekend, market participants will stay alert on potential banking news. Also, US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen could be preparing some surprises.

The DXY settled above 103.00 after testing levels under 102.00. The Greenback rebounded despite lower yields, helped by the renewed concerns. Economic data showed activity, at least before the SVC collapse, was not near a recession. US employment data still presents a tight market. Next week's data includes the Core PCE on Friday, a closely watched inflation indicator.
EUUSD finished the week higher, pointing lower, and momentum fading quickly. The pair dropped 200 pips from the 1.0930 area to close around 1.0750, still above the 20-week Simple Moving Average. The preliminary PMIs on Friday showed overall positive figures. The preliminary March inflation numbers next week will be critical. European Central Bank officials continued to speak about the need to do more. Expectations about more rate hikes supported the Euro, which was among the top performers.
GBP/USD ended the week virtually flat around 1.2220, after being unable to hold above 1.2300. The Bank of England (BoE) raised the key rate as expected to 4.25% (7-2 vote). The bank could rise further if inflation does not surprise to the downside in March. Next Friday, Q4 GDP data is due.
The Japanese Yen benefited from the decline in US yields, outperforming most of its G10 rivals. USD/JPY dropped for the fourth consecutive week, ending above 130.00, an area that seems poised to be tested again over the following sessions.
USD/CAD reached monthly highs above 1.3800 and pulled back. Next Tuesday, the Canadian government will present the budget. January GDP will be out on Friday.
AUD/USD's run from monthly lows ended at the daily 200-SMA near 0.6760, and now it is up to the Dollar to decide how low it goes. Australia will report Retail Sales on Tuesday and critical inflation numbers on Wednesday. Those figures could cement the decision of the Reserve Bank of Australia that will have its meeting on April 4.
The Mexican peso was the biggest gainer among the most traded currencies, making a solid comeback after plunging during the previous two weeks. USD/MXN lost more than 2%, falling below 18.50. The Bank of Mexico will announce its decision next week. It is seen raising rates further but at a smaller pace than in February, when it hiked by 50 bps. Core inflation is finally coming down in Mexico, with the half-month print at 8.15%, down from 8.21%.

My partner of 6 years has never watched Buffy (except for one Halloween episode when I had a bad day and still refers to Giles as "senor Giles"), saying it was too long. But all of this will change...
This summer, he is taking a course where they critique Buffy (and some other stuff from the time, but the main thing is BtVS). I am obviously ecstatic ( I have watched the series numerous times). I am thinking of ways to make this as ridiculous as possible, as we are going to watch them over the summer (you have to watch the episodes on your own time).
A few years ago he read Harry Potter for the first time, and I began writing down his predictions. When we were finished, I showed him his predictions and we laughed about what he got right and wrong. I am planning on doing something similar, but decided to be a bit extra about it.
I am building a website. An old school, angelfire/geocities-style website (on neocities!). I am currently learning HTML and CSS to decorate it and make it useable. I am going to add things to it throughout the semester as we go through the show, and generally want it to feel like something you would stumble across on the internet from days gone by. But now, this means I need your help.
I require resources. I need photos, really tacky GIFs, icons, the works. I need it all to spice up this website. Please assist me with this, and I will eventually post my work of art once completed. To make this short and to the point. I’ve had depression/anxiety my whole life. It’s nothing new other than with age it seems to just get worse. I’ve been through the system for help and here I am again. I have a 15 month old who would be better off without her depressed mother around. My whole family is effected by my moods. It’s not fair to anyone and I definitely don’t want to be the reason everyone is walking on eggshells. I grew up like that and it’s not fun and look at me…I have problems. I believe it’s better for me to disappear than subject my family to this terrible illness. I’ve read how having a depressed mother can effect a child. I also know first thing. I stress my husband out like no other. It can all be solved if I just leave. My husband asks where to? I don’t know, I have no one so probably the streets. • I already bought the motherboard from Newegg, and bought the SSD as well (but I do feel it is a bit overkill wondering whether I should swap to a cheaper SSD), Main concern is the case, PSU and video card, I bought them mostly based on sales. But first the case (got $55 in CC before tax) is not white (which is OK but preferred white) and not sure if it is a good choice, also no RBG so likely have to spend more later to get RBG fans. For the PSU, it seems to be a good unit, and that is the only reasonable price PSU I can find for a while, just not sure if I should go higher watts. I have also considered going with a less know Azza white case and Azza PSU to keep price down but not sure if it is the right way to go

• The other part I am totally unsure is the video card, the problem is the main game my daughter want to play now is Genshin impact, which is not really a very graphics demanding game, I am thinking I might be able to get away with buying a used video card first (a 1060? RX580, 1070 or 1660 etc.) and swap it if she is going to play some more demanding game or if the GPU market becomes better, but of course, going new would make life a lot easier, especially I don't have a spare PC to test video card if I go used.

Probably the first time I classed it in my head as a serious assault was when I was 14 years old and I was found my friends house and a boy from our school was there. He forced his fingers in me and wouldn’t stop. I was so young and never had had someone do that to me before. I was confused scared and didn’t know how to stop it. (I tried pulling his hand out of me but didn’t work) cried for a while after. Used to get groped in a lesson each week by this boy. Would rub my thighs constantly and beg me to touch him back. When I would say no, he would blackmail me and say he will tell everyone. He’d also keep asking me why I didn’t want to constantly to the point I was so irritated and would just do it. It was extremely violating and uncomfortable, I was only 14 in this too. Co-erced into another finger penetration at 14 (again)a few months later Have been touched inappropriately by random men on the streets ect Raped whilst unconscious on drugs at sixteen. Rapist told me he was going to kill himself when confronted and manipulated me into not reporting it Have had many other co-ercing situations typically at parties ect when drunk I’m deeply concerned for the male population.

“I refuse to step inside the dark room again. Not after what happened a couple of days ago. At least not yet” I thought, while sitting in my room with the events still fresh in my mind. Before I begin telling you what happened since, I just want to thank you all for the advice in my last post. I honestly didn’t know how to approach this situation but with your guys’ help, I had somewhere to start.

It was the day after the incident. I hadn’t told anyone what happened, but I knew I wanted to talk to Felix. I had so many questions for him. He must know something. While I was at work, I was thinking a lot about the old man that used to live in the house. I realized that this entire time, Felix and I just referred to him as “the guy” or “the old man”. I guess I never cared to know his real name.
I thought that if I knew his name, I could just google him and find some information. Coincidentally, as I was driving home from work, my phone rang. Incoming call from Felix. Just seeing his name on the caller ID screen gave me shivers. The incident in the dark room flashed into my mind and I forgot what I planned on saying to him. I answered one handed and spoke, “hey man, what’s up?”
“Hey John, I’m alright. You doing anything today?”
I replied, “um. No not really. Listen, do you remember that film from the box in the boiler room? I know this is gonna sound crazy but-”
“I need some help at my house again bro. Trying to get this done asap and today’s the only day I’ll be able to work on it until next week”. Felix sounded like he was in a hurry. Before replying, I thought that maybe I could explain the situation better in person. I felt like I’d sound like a lunatic over the phone.
“Yeah, that’s fine. I’ll be there soon. Before you go, I gotta ask you something”.
“Make it fast cause’ I gotta go, man.”
“What’s the name of the guy that used to live in your house?”
“Uh...” Felix paused for a few seconds, “I can’t remember right now. Just be here in an hour or two”.
“WAIT. Wait. Are you at the house right now?” I asked.
“Yes. Why”.
“Can’t you like, check his mailbox for some old mail or something? It’ll say his name there”.
Felix sighed, “Why do you want to know it so bad?”
“I’ll explain it to you later. It’s a long story. Sorry if I’m interrupting you.”
Felix said, “alright, hold on” followed by a loud thud. It sounded like he dropped something.
A moment passed before Felix spoke again. “Okay his name’s Travis Rice. Gotta go now. Let me know when you’re here”.

I got home and made myself dinner before going to Felix. While I was eating, I searched “Travis Rice Obituary” on google on my phone. I scrolled through a few Travis Rice’s until I found one that was from my town. The first thing I saw was his picture. A smiling old white man with gray hair and a wrinkly face. Then I read his obituary.
“Travis Rice. May 1931- July 2022. Mr. Travis was an outstanding member of his community, and a true American”. After reading the rest, I gathered that Travis served in the U.S military during the Korean War in the 1950’s. He has three daughter’s and two sons. His wife had passed away 4 years ago. He did volunteer work even at an old age and even was a teacher for a while. I won’t lie, I did not expect his obituary to be so positive. This whole time in my head I assumed he was some maniac cult leader who never threw away any of his junk.
Once I finished reading, I noticed that there isn’t a cause of death anywhere. I guess some obituaries can choose not to include that.

I arrived at Felix’s house, and it was almost turning into sunset. The trash container Felix had rented was still outside, but it was nearly empty. I wondered if it would get completely full again. The front door was slightly opened, and I let myself in. I walked around the main floor looking for him. The living room didn’t look too bad now that it was empty.
Once I entered the kitchen, I called Felix’s name. “What! I’m here” he replied as he popped out from behind the old fridge. He scared the sh*t out of me. “Jesus Christ... What are you doing there?” I said with my palm on my chest.
“I’m putting the hand truck behind this old fridge. It has to go. This thing smells like a dead person”. He spoke.
“Well, what if there IS a dead person in there?” I said, “Let’s open it”.
“I wouldn’t do that if I were you”, Felix said while placing his hand on the fridge door.
“Why not? I just want to see what our guy Travis kept inside”.
“Alright, but don’t open it until I say”. Felix took his hand off the door and walked to the other side of the house. “Go ahead”. I opened the fridge door slowly and peaked through. No light bulb turned on so I couldn’t see inside. I opened it halfway and an incredibly foul odor hit my nose and I almost threw up. There wasn’t a dead body chopped up into small pieces, but there was a half empty bottle of expired milk, expired steak, cheese, and other stuff that was probably there for at least a year.
As soon as I slammed the door shut Felix started walking back. “Ha! See, I told you I wouldn’t do that. Next time just listen to me. Come on, let’s put this thing outside”.
Felix and I continued to clean the house. I really wanted to explain the dark room incident to him, but the entire time I was thinking, “how do I say this without sounding like I’m insane?” I concluded that there just wasn’t a way to say it without sounding crazy, so I just did it.
“Hold on, Felix. Let’s pause for a minute. I have to tell you something”.
“Okay, what?”
“Remember those two rolls of film that I showed you the last time we were cleaning this house?”
“The ones from the box downstairs?”
“Yeah. Here’s the thing. I really need you to just believe everything I say, okay? Even if it sounds super ridiculous. Everything I am going to tell you is one hundred percent real. I swear I am NOT lying.”
“Okay, okay, John just tell me. Look, I’ll believe it if I believe it-”
“IT’S TRUE... Alright, whatever, I’m just gonna start. So, the day after I found the film, I went to develop it in my university’s dark room. I- I heard and felt something. It wasn’t human. It- it was like some kind of beast-”
“What did it look like?”
“I DON’T KNOW. I was unrolling the film in complete darkness. I didn’t see what it looked like”.
“Why would you do it in the dark, though?” Felix asked. I was getting frustrated because I didn’t feel like explaining the process of developing film.
“BECAUSE- BECAUSE there can’t be any light in the first step, only the rest of the process. I only heard its footsteps. It blew strong blows of air on me anytime I moved. I thought it was going to attack me, but I turned the lights on just in time”.
Felix just stood there looking me dead in the eye, confused as ever. “What the hell are you talking about?” I lowered my head into a face palm and sighed deeply.
“I mean, seriously, what are you on, man? You think you summoned a demon or something?” He said. “So, did you even get to develop the film anyway, or what?”
“No” I said, “I was too freaked out. I just put the film in its canister and left it in a drawer. I swear I’m telling the truth. I just wanted to see if you knew anything about it”.
“Yeah, no, I have no idea what you’re talking about. So, is that it? Are you done with this whole picture's thing?”
I replied, “Well, I don’t want to relive that experience. At the same time though, I really want to know what those pictures look like. If I’m going back to the dark room to finish, I at least want to take someone with me”. We looked at each other for a few seconds.
“...Let me guess, you want me to go with you?” Felix asked. “Yes. I do”. I spoke.
Felix took a breath, “... I mean, I guess since you’re helping me clean this place up I might as well. It’ll have to wait though. I won’t have time until next week”.
“That’s fine” I said, “I can wait”.

Fast forward to Monday. Felix and I agreed to meet in front of my university in the morning. We walked together towards the art department. We went up the elevator and walked down the end of the hall to where the dark room was. Being in front of that room again was so unnerving. I almost didn’t even want to step inside anymore.
Noticing my hesitation, Felix moved past me and entered the dark room, and I followed.
I had my phone flash again as I quickly switched the light on. I did not want it to be dark again. Thankfully, the next steps in developing the film could be done with the lights on. Felix was standing with his arms crossed.
“Alright, so now what?” he asked. I replied, “I have to set up all of the chemicals and then take the canister out of the drawer that I left it in”.
“Don’t you want me to help with anything?” he asked.
“No, you’re mainly here so that I’m not alone”.
I set up the chemicals as it said in my notes. Pre-soak, developer, hypo-clear, Photo-Flo etc. They were all lined up in beakers in the sink. Then, I went to the drawer that I left the canister with film in. It was still there. I brought it over the sink where the chemicals were ready.
“Here goes” I said out loud. Felix moved from the corner of the room to a few feet away from me. I poured the first solution in, agitated the canister for its required time, and then poured it out. I repeated this step for each chemical solution. Nothing bad had happened yet. The lights were on, Felix was watching over me, things were good.
“So how do I get this demon to show up? Should I turn the lights off?” Felix chuckled. I shook my head and rolled my eyes. If only he knew what I experienced that day.
Fast forward now to the last step of the process. I just had to take the film out of the hurricane film washer and put it to dry.
I took it out and unrolled it. As soon as I stretched it out, my eyes went directly onto the film. “FINALLY,” I thought, “I can finally see what these damn PICTURES ARE”. I held the film up to the fluorescent ceiling light and the negatives were visible now. They were tiny, black and white, but I couldn’t tell what the pictures were of.
The negatives on the film were so unrecognizable. After a few seconds of me trying to figure out what I was looking at, I decided I needed to bring out the light box. A light box is a box that shines white light at the top. Film is placed on top of the light box, and it lets you see the pictures clearly.
"Hold this. Don’t touch the strip of negatives, just hold the top part”. I handed Felix the unrolled film while I looked for the light box. I found it in a cabinet and grabbed it. I then set it on a station and plugged it to the wall. I flipped it on, and it shined brightly.
“Okay, let me see the film” I said to Felix.
“What the hell am I supposed to be seeing?” I looked over and saw he was trying to look at the negatives using the same ceiling light I was using.
“Dude, just give it to me so we can see them on the light box”. He handed the film to me. This was it.
I placed the beginning of the film on the light box, and it showed the first few pictures clearly.
FIRST PICTURE: The first picture was taken from the inside of a house. You could see out the window where there is nothing but trees.
SECOND PICTURE: A landscape of a small lake. A bird is hovering over the water.
THIRD PICTURE: A blurry unexposed shot of a stack of books.
Half of the pictures were like this. Just normal boring pictures of random stuff. “You made it seem like we’d see something cool or crazy. These are just boring ass pictures, man,” said Felix.
I was pretty disappointed so far. I almost wanted to just stop and start cleaning up. Until about the sixteenth picture.
SIXTEENTH PICTURE: A picture of a forest. Many tall trees were in the picture plane. The trees in the center were a different shade than the rest. Seems like it was taken at night, and the photographer was using a flashlight.
“Hey, what’s that there?” I whispered. “What?” asked Felix. In picture number sixteen there was a figure in between the trees. It was hard to see but I thought I saw a silhouette of something humanoid.
SEVENTEENTH PICTURE: This picture was similar to the last, except now, that figure was closer to the camera. I could see a more distinct shape. It definitely wasn’t human. It had an animal shape with a long neck.
“What is that? A horse?” said Felix. I started sweating.
EIGHTEENTH PICTURE: Now the creature was CLOSER. It was an animal or beast. I’ve never seen a creature like it before. It showed its side profile. Its body still hidden behind the trees. The creature was about 15 feet away from the camera. We could see its face. The head was shaped like a goat and horse at the same time.
“What is this thing? Do you know what animal that is?” I turned to Felix. He was wide mouthed now. More disturbed and shocked than I was. “Felix?”
“... I uh... I think we should stop looking now,” he said nervously. I was taken aback. Why would we stop now?
“...Are you okay Felix? What’s wrong?”
He didn’t respond. I continued looking.
NINETEENTH PICTURE: The creature was IN THE AIR. The ENTIRE body was visible, and it took up the whole picture plane. It had claws for hands that were stretched out. Its legs had hooves and its body was long. On each side of its body were long blurry blobs. They looked like wings, but its motion was blurred. It had no pupils in its eyes and its mouth was opened disturbingly wide.
“WH- WHAT IS THIS?” I yelled. Before I could keep moving the film to see the next picture, I felt a hard shove and I fell to the ground. Felix was standing over me with a shocked and worried face. He snatched the film off the light box and started crumpling it.
“FELIX WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT FOR. Wha- what are you DOING!” I yelled at him.
“No one was supposed to know...” he said softly while looking at me dead in the eyes.
“...Know what??” I questioned. He started walking toward me. I was freaked out and discomforted and I kept scooting back while on the floor. Felix put his hand on the table nearest to him and picked up a pair of scissors. “WHAT ARE YOU DOING???” I screamed.
He was only a foot away from me before all the lights suddenly went out and it was completely dark. I felt like I had just died but I heard a familiar noise.
*HUFF*
“What the hell?” Felix’s voice said in front of me.
*HUFF* *HUFF*
“No... God. Please, no,” I thought, with tears in my eyes. The ground started to shake rhythmically.
“WHO'S THERE?” Felix yelled out. I heard things cling and clang as they started to fall to the floor.
*HUFF*
I was still sitting on the floor. I looked up. The only thing I saw in the void of black darkness was two red dots.
“JOHN. WHERE THE F*CK ARE YOU”. I heard shuffling. “WHAT THE F*CK?!”
The two red dots went up, then swiftly dragged down and I heard a disturbing *CRUNCH*. Felix let out a blood curdling scream. What followed was a mix of crunching, Felix’s crying and screaming, and more things falling to the floor. All I could see was those two red dots moving violently around the darkness.
And then, Felix stopped screaming. All I could hear was the gnashing of teeth. I thought that I was next. My adrenaline kicked in and I made a dash for the light switch. The floor shook as I ran. Thank the stars, I flipped them on. I looked behind me. There wasn’t anyone with me anymore. Felix was nowhere to be seen. On the floor where he was standing was the crumpled up roll of film.
I stood there in silence for at least a half hour, not knowing what to do. The crumpled up film was in my hand. I uncrumpled the film and put it back on the light box.
NINETEENTH PICTURE: The creature was once again far away from the camera but still in the air.
TWENTIETH PICTURE: A wide shot picture of the forest. Seems like the photographer got out of the forest.
TWENTYFIRST PICTURE: A picture of a house. Likely the same house as the first.

Hi,
When driving in first or second gear in a parking lot or on my street, my manual honda civic 2012 EX will sometimes start to accelerate on its own going up to 1500 RPM and 4 or 5 seconds after will start to slow down to 750 RPM for no reason. Driving slowly is really unpleasant, as the car have a lot of jerk because of this.
I've tried it in a lot of spot and it doesn't seem to be because of the road.
Any idea what could cause this ?

Background info: I've been riding a Kawasaki Ninja 300 for the last 2 years, it was my first bike and honestly I loved it, but the more I rode it the more I found it lacking in power and I feel like it's about the time to upgrade. Also, I have a car that I use for commuting, my motorcycle is purely just for enjoyment on weekends / nice evenings, I also live pretty rurally in Ireland and most of my riding is done on country roads, some particularly twisty ones too such as Healy Pass
I've been stuck between two options in my head for my next bike, an R6 or MT-07, both seem like good options for completely different reasons.
My heart: When I first got into motorcycles sport bikes were what attracted me most, none more so than the R6, I loved it's aggressive styling and I loved the idea of riding a pure race-bike on the road; even if I was barely using any of it's power...
And barely using any of it's power brings me onto what my brain says:
My brain: I know from my riding style on the Ninja 300 that I'm actually relatively tame, at least compared to other riders I know, I don't really excessively speed and I always try to stay well within my limits (maybe I'm just a bit boring). So with that in mind why even bother buying an R6? Why not just get an MT-07 which has much more useable power on the street, and has more street focused ergonomics.
So that's where I'm at atm, I figured I'd post here to get advice from more experienced riders, particularly anyone who's ridden either (or both) of the bikes mentioned above.

PS:
Two other bikes worth mentioning are the R7 and the Zx6r. The R7 doesn't really interest me, partly because I don't think it looks that good, but also because I know if I had an R7 a small part of me would wish I had an i4 supersport.
The Zx6r by all accounts seems like a much more street friendly supersport, at least as street friendly as a race bike can be. I personally just think the R6 looks better, that's literally the only reason I'm considering it over the Zx6r.
