I just finished The Last of Us Part 1 & 2 and was blown away just good and engaging the gameplay, graphics and the story was. Looking for games that has similar vibes. Some other games that I liked:

I'm a 39 year old going on 40 year old childfree lady from the central part of the US. It'd be awesome to maybe have some email/snailmail or Reddit penpals. It'd be cool to hear from some people from other parts of the world :)! That's what I'm mostly interested in anyway because someday I'd like to travel more. I think science/space and stuff is pretty interesting and I'm going back for a career in healthcare myself. I have a crass sense of humor and can get really goofy at times.

I'm not really a person who smokes, or does drugs etc. I drink socially like once or twice a year. But honestly, for this I don't think any of that's relevant.

So this is something extremely random, but it's been bothering me ever since I first heard it. This happens in episode one of Bungo Stray Dogs WAN! In the third story. (The dubbed version, not the original Japanese.)
Right after Akutagawa says, "Shut your trap Tachihara," Tachihara just says (what sounds like) a bunch of gibberish. The only thing I can kind of make out is the word "me" at the very end of the sentence.
Going by the context of the manga and the Japanese version, he's supposed to say something like, "Serves you right, wait, you're yelling at me?"
Please I beg you, I need to know the exact words this man is saying, it's been driving me crazy. I tried turning on english subtitles on crunchyroll, but it doesn't work.

I'm a 29y.o. Translation (Arabic/English) student from Syria with about 5 years of work experience in TV translation (subtitling and dubbing) and E-commerce localization.
I'm planning to move to the Gulf next month to start my freelance career as a translator and learn everything about the trade. As for college, I guess I'll have to study at home and fly back to Syria at least once a year for exams until I graduate.
I love translation, and I'm a proud translator... Until someone tells me they're a programmer, then my self-esteem hits rock bottom. It's the only thing that can make me wonder, "What am I doing with my life?". It's the one career that would make me love my life and myself.
Here's my story.
As a kid, I was a major nerd both at school and on the computer. I would develop auto-run menus on MMB, create file-deleting viruses for my bullies, and open web pages on Notepad to learn how they're made. I even worked unpaid in a computer maintenance shop where I assembled PC cases, but that's another story.
Anyway, by highschool, I had lost my school nerdiness due to severe depression, and ended up achieving mediocre grades that didn't qualify me for anything tech-related.
I majored in something exceptionally awful called Library Science and ended up dropping off and fleeing my country to avoid draft.
Years later, after getting exempt from military service, I came back to my country and got into the translation field, and here I am - An experienced translator who will graduate soon enough.
Do I hate my life? No. But also, can I get over the fact that my childhood passion is now the #1 job in the world, and I know nothing about it? No. Plus, if I say fuck it and learn a few programming languages, will my degree and experience become completely worthless? Yes. I'm so lost.
I apologize for how messy and unorganized this post is, but this is exactly what it's like in my head.

I [26F] went on 2 dates with someone [32M] who also has ADHD. Probably one of the best first dates I’ve ever been on (felt I could be completely myself).
He revealed he had ADHD during the first date, which led to us opening up about our ADHD and relating on our struggles. This is probably the fastest I’ve ever opened up to anyone about these things. We shared a lot of fun stories about our lives, talked about growing up, friends, struggles, and similar interests. We talked and laughed nonstop for hours which I loved.
After date 2, he ghosted (did not reply to my msg). And now I’m not only feeling sad/rejected from a dating partner, but more so feeling completely unaccepted for having ADHD, and after actually being completely MYSELF on a first date. I’ve never felt so ‘accepted’ or ‘’normal’ earlier on in any relationship before, and Im starting to feel ‘unlovable’ since even someone with ADHD couldn’t ‘accept me’ and my quirks. I feel like my ADHD is making it hard for me to find/keep long lasting connections, as I’m always seen as the ‘fun girl’. ):
How do I find motivation to keep dating? And move on from a short lived intense connection? I was also diagnosed late (in my 20s), so these are still new struggles I’m noticing and learning to navigate.

My cousin is on a mission and this was in his email a few weeks ago:
“I am a bike elder now! Because we dont have a car, we did not go shopping thus, we just ate what we had. I did not bring a lot of food from my old pad so meals started out normal and went from creative to downright eldritch. Here is a short list of meals I had throughout the week. -Ramen -candy canes -cranberries and trail mix from the ghosts of missionaries past -instant mashed potatoes with protein powder mixed in -a two and a half foot long stick of sugar cane our landlord gave us”
I’m sure many people loved his light hearted jokes and loved this “crazy” story……it made my blood boil. I ended up Amazon Priming him and his companion 150$ of groceries with easy to make meals including: frozen lasagna, premade tikka masala, protein bars, big bags of trail mix and nuts, pasta and pasta sauce, etc. I was going for non-perishable/long lasting/quick and easy and filling.
I hate that because he had a transfer he didn’t have time to get groceries on P day (plus not having a car) so he has to just “survive the week” OR he is out of budget for food but can’t explicitly state that.

COVID-19 infections in the UK have climbed to their highest level since the beginning of the year, final official estimates of the prevalence of the virus have revealed.
While the trend is uncertain in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, there are signs the virus is continuing to spread.
It marks the last time that regular estimates of COVID-19 are being published, as the long-running infection survey - dubbed "the envy of the world" due to its success in tracking the virus, has been halted.
The UK Health Security Agency said that any further monitoring of the virus will be announced after a review to ensure it is "cost-effective".
The data showed that in the week ending 13 March, an estimated 1.5 million people in private households in England were likely to have had coronavirus.
It is the highest total of COVID cases in England since the week to 3 January, when the total stood at around 2.2 million.
Due to a low number of samples received by the ONS there is greater uncertainty in the latest figures for Scotland and Wales, while too few samples were returned in Northern Ireland to produce a new estimate.

Unfinished and turns into writing guidelines, but I just wanted to get this out there for anyone who was interested in where this was going.
Tkk, shhhhh- Thunk.
A chorus of clinks and taps as armor hit the ground and grind in movement sounded a few moments after the dropships started opening.
Clink, click.
In one dropship, two rows of soldiers click their harnesses into place. Slick, gunmetal and azure blue suits of armor in all different shapes and sizes exchange glances as the ship’s pilot starts the countdown to departure.
“Hope you all aren’t expecting a bumpy ride!”
“I would prefer it if no one was.”
“Hahaaah… Yeah…”
The ship itself is silent, private and group lines being used to converse.
“Everyone pay attention to the mission?”
“Get in, find the problem, resolve, and leave.”
The mission report for this group was lacking, compared to others. Through no fault of their superiors, information of the situation was limited. A jumbled SOS, of sorts, was received. It was cut off before anything meaningful could be gathered, other than an unknown threat killing every member of the crew it came across.
“Gotta say, this all sounds alot like the reports of the Things.”
“Tell me about it. No info, prevented SOS. No one left alive.”
One soldier, a scaled bipedal with four arms, Tk’Wrath, casts a concerned glance at the shorter human beside him, mumbling incoherently through their helmet.
He, after a moment's consideration, casts a private line request through the holoscreen on his gauntlet. Just checking on them. Afterall, they’re all in this pit together.
It takes a moment for the smaller teammate to snap out of their reverie, but they do accept it.
“Something the matter?” comes the human’s voice through his helmet. It’s higher than he expected.
“You were talking to yourself. Sounded like you were lost, or something to that degree.”
“Ah- My apologies. Just a mantra I learned a long time ago. Bit weirded out, is all.”
He hums for a moment. Repeating mantras isn’t uncommon to his people, each family has their own unique one they teach the young ones, or those joining the family.
The human’s voice sounds through the connection again.
“What did you say your name was, again?”
“I didn’t.”
“Well, that-” a huff. “I mean, what’s your name?”
“Tk’Wrath. And yours?”
“Iris.” They take a moment, before asking, “How do you feel about this?”
“How do you mean?”
“Well, it’s just that.. Something about this feels… off. And I don’t just mean that whole thing with the SOS. Something’s just… Wrong with this mission.”
“Mm. I can’t say I don’t know what you mean. Anything in particular?”
“It… I can’t talk about it. Legalities, you understand? Tech, and all that.”
“...Ah. You think you know who might’ve done this.”
Iris doesn’t respond, only giving a slight shrug. Tk’Wrath can’t help but wonder who the human suspects. The galaxy’s been pointing fingers forever, but nothing’s come up. How could one report, missing half the usual data, give a clue? Or does Iris know more than they let on?
The ride is spent talking about any and everything the crew can think of to pass the time. On the secondary channel, he hears others joking about the report, calling the name “The Things” stupid, among other things. Tk’Wrath notes that Iris lightens up as time goes on, but never brings up their previous conversation.
“Nah, nah, nah - ‘Things’ is so stupid! Like, there’s nothing intimidating about that.”
“Oh whatever. The mystery is what makes it interesting.”
“How about- Hear me out, how about Voids?”
“That is so much worse.”
“You’re just jealous you can’t-”
“Will you lot please drop this? We’re supposed to be planning what to do upon arriving.”
“Oh yeah? With what information? We don’t- we don’t even have sights on the wreck yet!”
Tk’ sighs. This was going to be a long-
“Actually, we did - if you bothered to check the main channel! Ship’s… intact. Surprisingly. Huh.”
“...okay, well. That wasn’t in the original report. That- that doesn’t even look like a wreck. Everyone just get up and leave?”
His hearts drop at that. Tk’ hadn’t checked the main, either. He hears Iris interject;
“Yeah… Place looks… picked clean. Not sure I like that.”
“No kidding.”
“Well, we won’t know until we get inside. Everyone ready?”
“Ready as I’ll ever be for ghosts, I guess.”
A chorus of similar responses comes from the rest of the crew, and the rest of the ride is spent much quieter. Everyone’s retreated back to private channels, but he can tell they’re talking about the ship. Everyone’s glancing at their holoscreens for more information every few seconds, and most shift uncomfortably in their harnesses.
He occupies the rest of the ride playing music in his helmet.

The alert to prepare for insertion cuts off his music as the carrier nears the patrol ship.
“Take a walk, you lot.”
There’s the tell-tale woosh of air being vacuumed out into the void that marked the back of the ship was opening up.

The vacuum eats the rest of the noise.
[Group is dispatched on the outside of the ship]
“Bust the door.”
“Attaching the connector.”
After the large, half-barrel, half-[insert something here later] is attached to the entrance, [sequence of entering the ship and orienting themselves to the dormant ship’s floor with magboots]
[Group bust their way into the ship, and find no power. They make their way through the ship, Tk and Iris taking up the rear, using lights on the ends of their guns to scan the hallways.]
[Captain directs to restore power to the ship, preferably lights first, life support second.]
[intermission things of them sweeping the ship and finding only traces of blood, but barely any, and no bodies or anything]
Iris steps up to the door panel, connecting their holopad to the interface and manually ordering it to open, and the captain sends an electrician inside with Tk’. He scans the area, gun held at the ready, carrying the electrician’s excess supplies in his lower arms.
[repeat above note, with banter, preferably avoiding the topic between Tk and Iris]
[Fallen Division people are encountered on the ship, also sweeping the place]
[Iris, excited to be with other humans again, but curious as to why they were dispatched as well, tries to strike up conversation, which devolves into an argument over the others’ seeming bio-phobia]
[it devolves into the argument because Division starts rounding up the rest of the crew and tying them up.]
[Iris, at this point, is gesturing wildly and looks like she’s shouting, but can’t Tk’ tell because of the helmet]
[all from the perspective of Tk’Wrath, still]
[something something If You’re Not With Us, You’re Against Us, but Tk can hardly make it out]
[he can hardly hear it because there’s glass between the crew and Iris and the Division.]
[While the whole If You’re Not With Us thing is being said, that soldier is raising his Space Glock before blowing Iris’ head off, painting the glass red.]
[fade to black as Tk closes his eyes against the gun now pointing at his head, covering his view of the glass, as he repeats a mantra to himself.]
[bang.sfx]
He feels a sharp pressure-
He’s gone.

Yeaaah... So, it's been awhile, huh? So much for just 2 weeks! I've had part 3 written for ages, but wanted to get out part 2 before posting it, but... I'm stuck. I can't bring myself to finish this. If anyone wants to step in and fill this out and continue the story/use the setting, feel free! I just can't bring myself to write anything anymore.

Part 1

Long story short this was a repeat ghosting. I 23M met this girl 21F thru my best friends GF. The first time she ghosted me was way back in October after our first date. A month went by and I sent a casual hail mary text. To my surprise, she responded and quickly engaged with me again. She apologized for the ghosting and told me she felt terrible about it. During this time she was showing super high interest, double texting me all the time, it almost felt like I was getting chased. She also asked me out on both of the dates we had during this time. She was so easy to be around in person, and the connection felt so great. I could tell that when we were together she was genuinely into me, it was clear as day. However, after our 3rd and last date she started getting flaky.
This lead to a convo in which I told her I liked her a lot but was feeling lead on due to her happily setting up dates but then flaking. She told me she really liked me too. But that she couldn't be in a serious relationship with anyone because she has personal issues she has to sort out. I told her that was fine, because I wasn't ready for a relationship either and truthfully it was still casual (We hadn't even had sex, only slept together). I told her there was no rush and that a relationship was something I was open to in the future if we were both ready. She appreciated me clearing things up and we kept talking. After we had this convo she seemed more flirty than usual, and It seemed like things were moving forward. However, a few weeks later she cancelled on a date we had planned the night before and left me on read for a week. I then asked her out on valentines despite being left on read, and she never replied to that either.
The last thing she ever texted me was that she was "so excited to come to see me". It's been 7 weeks since that message. I unfollowed her on socials, but she's still following me on everything. She's been watching my stories and tiktok's and liking them in the past few weeks. She still has all of our spotify playlists saved. I'm so confused because I know I'm not delusional. I know this girl liked me. I feel like a hypocrite because I told her there was no rush and proceeded to rush, and I think me pushing too hard scared her away. I think she took the easy route of ghosting because she couldn't muster the courage to say whatever she was feeling.
Whatever it was, it's still not an excuse for her ghosting me. I miss her a lot. It feels like I can feel her missing me too, but I don't think she has the courage to reach out in fear of me rejecting her now. I know I cannot disrespect myself by reaching out again, but I think if I don't I may never talk to her again. It seems like her interacting with me on socials is her trying to get me to reach out. I'll be seeing the mutual who set us up a lot this summer as I'll be living with her BF, so I don't know how that's gonna play out. This is all just so confusing and it hurts. I just want to hear from her again.

My fav horror stories are always the ones without any fantasy/supernatural elements - for example, I really like “penpal” and “my father finally told me what happened that day” because those sorts of stories could happen to anyone (which for me makes it scarier).
It’s been hard for me to find nsp stories that don’t involve some sort of monster or ghost and instead focus on real life horror, though. Does anyone have any recommendations?

When i look for horror, I'm not necessarily looking for the most scary or gory experience, but the most fascinating, and in horror, nothing fascinates more than supernatural concepts that works on spirits, ghosts, human nature, or the mysteries of the soul. And also, curiously, "love".
Silent Hill 2 and Fatal frame series are the best examples i can come with up now. The horror goes beyond the creepy stuff happening, it evolves around something more 'spiritual' about the characters, even if a more simple way. Like Silent hill 2 be about James and his wife and the good and twisted stuff that happened between them. Fatal frame 2 playing on the relationship between twins, especially with that bittersweet ending, or Fatal frame 3 playing on the loss of someone. I love that melancholic/bittersweet flavor within the horror. But it seems really difficult to find something on that style.
And of course, stories that are just tragic without it playing any deeper role in the story, it's not of my interest
