He told me of the more than nine years he spent on meditative retreat, and of his frustrated search to receive the teachings for a very unusual form of Pho’wa (or forceful transference of consciousness) that would allow his mind to enter others’ bodies that he might better diagnose and heal them. Weeks elapsed and then during last night’s meditation a hack or work-around gently dawned on me. The brainstorm returned to me this morning, as I was setting up for my morning livestream. It felt like it demanded to be recorded as a Sadhana (or spiritual practice).
It was composed during the twenty-five minutes I thought I would prepare for class, and edited (rather slap dash) as I led the practice on line.
1) Open the practice by chanting the recitations of Bodhichitta, Refuge, as well as “Calling the Lama from Afar” and perform the five following exercises, sixteen rounds each.
2) Train in mindfulness and meditation by mounting the slogans “Notice this…” and “relaxing!” upon your respective inhalations and exhalations.
3) Contemplate the non-duality slogans “they and me…” “how NOT two?”.
4) Return to mindfulness and meditation.
5) Contemplate the love slogans “Profound health…” “now for ALL!”.
And 6) return again to mindfulness and meditation.
7) As your stamina builds, this cycle of exercises three through six
could be repeated for 2, 4, or even 8 sets.
8) Seal the practice by chanting the Four Immeasurables; repeat these eight steps every twelve hours and you could meditate like a Jedi

So, I got a 96 Ranger 2wd that started howling. NTB listened to it with their stethoscope for $60 and told me pinion bearings. I took it apart, and had a hard time seeing bad bearings. The guys at my local independent auto parts store agreed. I replaced the front pinion bearing (closest one to flange, right?), probably did the preload wrong cause I got a cheap torque wrench, measured the backlash, put it together, aaaaand it still howled around 15-20 mph. Replaced axle bearings, still howled. I decided to replace the rear pinion and ring gear bearings just to cover all my bases. When removing, the spider gears fell out, and I noticed a broken shim on one. New set ordered. Then my parts store guy (they remove and press on the pinion and ring gear bearings) called me to say he felt a strange wear pattern on the pinion gear and also suspected the shim under the pinion bearing was not spec.

1. Will a shop be able to machine the pinion gear or do I just order a new set (around 150 on rock auto)?
   
2. Does the new one come with the correct shim?
   
3. If I rent the $100 torque wrench from autozone to do the preload right, measure backlash on multiple gear teeth, and paint the gears to check contact pattern, what are my chances of doing this correctly?
   

I'm good with taking it to a shop to check my work when done. Do they do this? I'm happy to pay for their time. I really want to learn to do this myself.

EDIT: Some progress. It seems the Pixel was several months behind on both security and play system updates. Updating those has allowed me to progress through place where I was stuck previously, but now, once I select what data I want to transfer, it says copying data, then immediately fails to copy everything, and I can't seem to get it to actually copy. I've tried a couple different cables to no avail. New thoughts would be appreciated!
TL;DR: Trying to copy data from iPhone to Pixel 6a, keeps getting stuck preparing to copy data, tried a miriade of things to no avail, looking for suggestions if anyone's experienced something similar.
I'm not sure if anyone has a solution or thoughts to this, but I've already searched the subreddit history and haven't found anything helpful.
I'm helping someone set up their new 6a from their old iPhone SE 2, and every time I get to the "copy data" page, I get stuck. I plug the two phones in together, and it acknowledges they're connected but then when it gets to "preparing to copy" it just spins endlessly and makes no progress at all.
I've tried multiple different cables (both USB-C and A), and even factory reset both phones (then resetup the iPhone from an iCloud backup).
Obviously some data can transfer manually, but the key thing missing right now is that I have no other way to transfer their entire text message history, which is why I can't use the wireless transfer setup.
We've been working on this for the better part of 3 days and had no progress. Of course, when talking to Google support, their only suggestion is to call Apple to have them help, and obviously Apple (understandably) says to call Google, so that support loop is entirely unhelpful.
If anyone has anything to try that we maybe haven't tried yet or has dealt with something similar please let me know. I've loved Pixel for years, but for a first time user this is becoming a truly heinous experience.

When in retroarch under any core for nes, snes, ps1, etc., I change full screen to off under settings-video. I then change the scaling of the window to 4:3, which it works and go to an actual 4:3 square like size. Then every game after I do that, doesent operate smoothly at all…and is laggy.
But when I switch it back to full screen on, everything works fine. But I prefer a 4:3 ratio and that scaling option doesent work when full screen is turned on for some odd reason in Retroarch. When 4:3 is selected it just stays a fully filled out screen on the 16:9 Samsung TV, the actual screen size does not go down to an actual 4:3 square like it would with full screen turned off.
Anyone exp this? Any help is appreciated.

So I'm still fairly new to bass, been playing for a little while and absolutely loving it, and I love my trbx504, think it's just wonderful.
I was thinking of picking up a cheap second bass to learn to do maintenance myself, and to modify and make my own, so was wondering about some solid bases (lol) to start off with where I can change pickups, maybe wiring, tuners, bridge, controls, etc and just build up to something fun and unique, and different than my 504? Might even end up changing the neck if I can find some affordable ones. Will also act as sort of a practice run for things like changing strings, doing a full setup on my own and all that kind of stuff, so then I'll feel more confident doing it on my nice, expensive (to me) main bass.
Was thinking a cheap passive pj (maybe just a p bass) to have a different option and set of pickups, give a bit of tonal variety, so I was looking into a full scale ibanez talman which I can get for around £200. There's also cheap Harley Benton basses that can go all the way down to like £95, and some east cost basses which are in the middle. Squier affinity series are also around that sort of price range I believe. If someone has any reason that a j bass might be better then I'll definitely take a look into some, but I really like that mids heavy bass tone that seems to be very common with p pickups. Think the talman is probably my first choice right now despite being on the more expensive side, I think they look great and ibanez is a big name so the quality should still be decent.
For pickups I really like the sound demos I've heard of the dimarzio model P's. Don't really know much about bridges or tuners, so that'll be fun to research but switching to something lightweight could be good just for playability.
Was also thinking maybe a 5 string? I listen to a fair bit of metal and heavy rock, and 5 strings just offers lower options without having to mess with the tuning on my yammie. Maybe even something short scale lime the TMB35.
If anyone has any ideas for additional mods that I haven't thought about I'd love to hear them? Or any mods you've done to your own bass that were/weren't worth it and why? Just seems like a fun little project that will end up with me having two nice, different basses.

Hi all, I have my first medspa consult this Thursday. The clinic is recommended by a doctor friend who goes there and looks super natural/not over done so I feel confident in their safety and reputation.
I’d love to know if there were/are questions you know to ask or wish you had asked when you first embarked on things like Botox- or other MedSpa services?
I’m 38, primary concerns are fine lines and signs of aging, with potential interest in laser for hyperpigmentation down the line. I’m especially concerned about looking not like myself so want to go very light handed.

I have been confused for sometime about how expense ratios are charged with mutual fund or ETFS.

1. How vanguard VOO has an expense ratio of 0.03%. Is this an annual charge of 0.03% of my money in that fund? If so, when does the charge actually happen? Let's say I don't have my money in that VOO fund the entire year am I still charged the 0.03%, even though they only managed my money for half the time?
   
2. I have my 401k in the S&P 500 right now because the expense ratio is lower than a target date fund and I am young. But when I get older, 45-50 years of age, I want to move all my money from the S&P to the target date fund 2060. Let's say the expense ratio for that target date fund is 0.08% and I move $50,000 over. Will they instally charge me that 0.08% on the $50,000 or do they wait a year?
   
3. This is a side question to question 3. I really do have my 401k all in the S&P 500 due to low expense ratio fees. And plan on keeping it there till I am older and then moving it to the target date fund where it will lower my risk. Is this a good or bad move? Am I hurting my funds by not having it in the target date fund now? I really don't see why I would put it in the target date fund if the S&P has cheaper fees and gets similar or better returns than the target date fund.
   

Please give me some insight on how these Fund Expenses are charged to me when using them.

I'm running a concept for an FP&A tool on this subreddit and would love to hear your thoughts.
We use numerous data tools: for analysis - SQL, Python, Excel; for visualization - PowerBI, Tableau etc. Data is also stored in a variety of systems - financial, operational, and data warehouses. The current process, where the data, analysis and visualization work is split between these tools/systems, is inefficient and doesn't flow well.
Instead, I envision a single data workspace that makes it easy to connect to data (via a single connection) and analyze it in SQL, Python, or Excel (via a single interface), then share the results with your team as data apps or stories.
Any feedback would be appreciated.

So I have the Magnus desk and I am trying to figure out what size monitor would look best. I have two 25 inch Dell monitors I use for work attached to the Magnus dual monitor arm. I am looking into adding either a 27 or 32 inch monitor to game on the other side somehow.. issue is it’s hard to put it all together if I don’t have the monitor to see how it would turn out. Anyone have a similar setup with three monitors they’d like to share?

to be more specific, there is a friend of mine who is a psychic and her readings are always on point, but i’ve noticed that she doesn’t use the regular reading cards but she uses scopa playing cards, she even got a meaning for each card and everything, and i also noticed that she doesn’t just pull 3 or few cards, but she sections the whole deck into three, and says “touch the three sections and say my heart for the first one, my actions for the second one, and my future for the third one” and i do it like three times, and then she slides each section and does the reading and it works wonders. also i was wondering if there is a guide on each one of the scopa cards etc because i only know the meaning behind few.

I'm not a fan of how a lot of fics (and even canon) focusing on their relationship will retcon it to be gentle, if distant as if they didn't argue heatedly in episodes 2 and 3 like they'd been doing it for years. I think Obi-Wan cares about Anakin and just doesn't know how to handle him and I think Anakin wants Obi-Wan's approval, but is naturally rebellious, requiring more discipline.
I don't need to see that dynamic specifically (that's my own take on it), but I would like to see more fics that show how tense their relationship was while showing that they at least tried to make it work. Or in cases of angst, showing how their lack of connection led to the breakdown of their friendship. (No shipping fics pls)

So I have WI installed and FallUI and FIS, and when I used the complex sorter it sorted all the magazines from WI into medicine in the Pip-Boy and I’m wondering if there’s a way to make another category in medicine for the magazines? So I am 19 and have struggled with multiple eating disorders since I was 16. I chose to start recovering last summer and have been weight restored since late September. The issue is that I still deal with some issues from back during my Ed days. My hair still tends to fall out, I get cold very easily, have hot flashes, am always tired, and still have no libido, even though I’ve completely fixed my eating and eat a lot. My weight has gone up too and I have gained a good amount of fat. The only thing that hasn’t stopped though is my exercise. I typically weight lift 4-5 times a week heavy, and do a lot of cardio still. I was wondering if that still has an effect on my body and whether I should stop or not. This is such a hard thing for me because I have been exercising since I was 15 and I am so used to it but I don’t know if it’s helping or hindering me now. I have noticed that during my breaks from working out on the weekends, I tend to feel much more energetic, my body hair tends to grow back, and my hair grows in better too. It is just so odd to me because I thought eating a lot would fix the problem and I eat a good 3-4 plates with every meals and include everything in my diet. If anyone has any advice it would greatly be appreciated.
