I (30M) recently began contemplating my next step in my working life. Currently, I'm working a full-time job as a photographer for a group of car dealerships shooting inventory for their websites. I'm on year 6 here, and I'm content with it: my coworkers are great, my boss is really nice, the work itself is easy, good benefits, and I get paid well enough ($50k/yr) to support my single life outside of work.

I was in an accident back in March. I had a few issues getting everything going with progressive, but I got my car to a shop and got a rental up until April 20th. I got a call saying that they deemed my car a total loss and that my cars value $16,900 exceeded their policy limits and that I needed to return my current rental and start the claim through my insurance.
My insurance, state farm, decided they want to repair my car and they got everything covered for the most part. My rental coverage ran out may 24th and I've been paying out of pocket since then.
I was doing some math, I was looking at everything that's been payed/ will be payed, and it looks like the repairs $12,000, my deductible $500, and rental cost so far $2,000 is under the $15,000 policy limit.
Would I be able to ask progressive to pay my out of pocket rental costs, or do I have to sue the driver who hit me to get my money back? I'm very confused on what to do here and I'm kind of stressing out.

My little one will be turning 1 at the end of the year. I figured with Christmas and New Year celebrations, I better start planning now.

This is where I thought of having the option to have a toggleable button like tnt explodes or fire spreads for 1.9 pvp for the world/realm owner. This would accommodate for the mobile players that would struggle with and people who don’t like 1.9 pvp but also give the option for the people who have been wanting it for years. As well as this , the Java players that complain about 1.9 pvp could also switch to 1.8 aswell. But even after that it could even help builders that want easier combat so they could switch to 1.8. This is why I need you to help get the attention of Mojang to implement this as no matter what it couldn’t affect you badly and would give a feature some have wanted desperately for years Thank you and let’s try and get this as big as possible so we can all be happy with pvp even if you are a builder lol.But this would be temporary until there is an actual solution which is parity between the versions with a proper functioning combat system because yes this does bring a divide but it’s a temporary fix. So DP thinks that the M411 abductor looks like a bear, but that it’s not a bear. When asked what Bigfoot might look like, DP claims "like a bear, but upright, and bipedal."

In TB (Tribal Bigfoot) DP explains that Bigfoot lives next to bodies of water and DP uses the expression “bodies of water” a lot when talking about M411.

In the Bigfoot sightings map section I noted several facts about the map that showed a large percentage of the sightings occur close to water- an abnormal number of sightings.”
TB, p 85: “In Robert Alley’s book, Raincoast Sasquatch (2003, Hancock House) he describes several incidents where Bigfoot is seen swimming in British Columbia and Alaska waters. On page 51, paragraph 2, he writes, ‘Its style of swimming is commonly noted as submerged, not on-the-surface style one might expect to hear for any ape or other primate, or the crawl style if one were to think of a human.’ This style of swimming falls into a category that caused NABS to reflect on the proximity Bigfoot has to water and the benefits of that association.”

Did he say Bigfoot took her? No. But, he's implying that she ended up where she ended up because an abductor, that's not a bear and not a human, could've used an underwater for transporting live victims.

In TB DP explains that berries are an important food source for Bigfoot.

In TB DP describes a Bigfoot encounter where a child, who is picking huckleberries, is scared by a Bigfoot.

There were two large huckleberry bushes behind the ones she was working and she saw those bushes to the rear start to shake violently. Then she heard loud, bipedal footsteps. Jan said the footsteps were so loud she could almost feel the rumble on the ground. Her dog was with her and he immediately took off running back to the car. She tried to see what was shaking the bush, but thought it would be more prudent if she also left the area.”

In his M411 books DP also sees berries as a food source, but here he acts like he does not know why berries are important.

I will be staying in Scotland from December 23rd to December 29th and trying to decide between staying in Oban or Portree on the Isle of Skye. I will stay in Edinburgh the night of the 23rd and then will drive up to either town on the 24th, flying out on the 29th. That gives me four full days. I will have a car, but I want to have a home base and do short day trips rather than do a full road trip because of the unpredictable weather. Will there be more to do from either Oban or Portree? Is either place more charming over Christmas and will have more things open?

Overseer: “Greetings, it’s been a long time since I’ve seen you face to face like this. There is so much to do around here that I barely have time to leave the office and mingle with the rest of the vault.”
The Listener would ask if they were in trouble, as that is usually the reason non security personnel or non essential personnel get called into the office.
[Trying to persuade them that they are not in trouble]
Overseer: “No, you're not in trouble, I’m actually here to give you an amazing opportunity! You see, you have been randomly selected to retake the ‘Generalized Occupational Aptitude Test’, also known as the ‘G.O.A.T.’ that every resident of a vault is required to take at the age of 16.”
The Listener asks why they are being offered to retake it, as they have never heard of anyone retaking the test before.
Overseer: “Well I know it’s unprecedented, but I was reviewing some of the test scores of the previous years and I feel like some of the vault members weren’t fully ready to take such an important test so early on. The person you are now is different then who you were a few years ago, and I want you to be put in a career that will maximize your efficiency in the vault. Besides, my daughter told me how nervous you were when you took the first test, don’t you want a second chance to maybe be something greater? Unless you enjoy your job as the ‘vault loyalty inspector’?”
The Listener is hesitant but agrees, and the overseer pulls out some papers and a pencil.
Overseer: “Perfect, I’ll give you the questions and fill in your test as you answer. Don’t second guess yourself, there are no wrong answers.”
The overseer shuffles some papers and begins to read

Say nothing, grab a nearby pipe and hit the scientist in the head to knock him out. For all you knew, he was planning to blow up the vault.
Say nothing, but slip away before the scientist can continue his rant.

The Listener gives their answer, and the overseer writes it down.

“Question 7: Oh, no! You've been exposed to radiation, and a mutated hand has grown out of your stomach! What's the best course of treatment?
A bullet to the brain.
Large doses of anti-mutagen agent.
Prayer. Maybe God will spare you in exchange for a life of pious devotion.
Removal of the mutated tissue with a precision laser. “
The Listener gives their answer and the overseer writes it down.
Overseer: “Practical, not much else you can really do in that situation.”

“Question 8: A fellow Vault resident is in possession of a Grognak the Barbarian comic book, issue number 1. You want it. What's the best way to obtain it?
Trade the comic book for one of your own valuable possessions.
Steal the comic book at gunpoint.
Sneak into the resident's quarters, and steal the comic book from his desk.
Slip some knock out drops into the resident's Nuka-Cola, and take the comic book when he's unconscious.
The guys at vault-tech who came up with these answers must have been really….. inventive.”
The Listener gives their answer and the Overseer writes it down.
“I’m more of a silver shroud fan myself, but I understand the appeal of Grognak.”
Flips to the next page of the test.
“ Question 9: You decide it would be fun to play a prank on your father. You enter his private restroom when no one is looking, and....
Loosen some bolts on some pipes. When the sink is turned on, the room will flood.
Put a firecracker in the toilet. That's sure to cause some chaos.
Break into the locked medicine cabinet and replace his high blood pressure medication with sugar pills.
Manipulate the power wattage on his razor, so he'll get an electric shock next time he shaves.”
The Listener gives their answer and the Overseer writes it down.
“ I would like to remind you that Vault-Tech is not incentivising you to do anything listed on the test outside a hypothetical situation.”
The Overseer flips to the last page.
“Last Question: Who is indisputably the most important person in the Vault: They who shelters us from the harshness of the atomic wasteland, and to whom we owe everything we have, including our lives?
The Overseer The Overseer The Overseer Two bears high-fiving
Wait…. I accidently printed the last page over the vault's standardized psychological evaluation.”
Crumples up and throws away the last page.
“It’s not like the last question is important, it was edited in by one of my predecessors who had a pretty big head. Now let me review the result.”
The overseer sits quietly for a few seconds, before sighing and looking at the Listener again.
[Speaking as if revealing the true intentions of the test, becoming much more serious]
“Look, I’m going to be straight with you… I wasn’t completely honest about the reason I called you in today. In reality it was for a matter much more serious than reassigning you to a new position in the vault. We've got a problem, a big one. The controller chip for our water purification system died. We can’t make another one, and the process is too complicated for a work around system. Simply put, we're running out of drinking water. No water, no vault. This is crucial to our survival. And frankly, I think you're the only hope we have.”
The Listener, stunned, asks why they have been chosen to fix this problem.
“Simply put, it’s because you have what it takes to be up on the surface. Your test scores match exactly with the decommissioned job of vault explorer, the only position that was suited to traveling the world above.”
The Listener asks about the vault explorer job, and why they never heard of it.
“140 years ago, we ran into the exact same problem. Our water chip was malfunctioning and we would quickly run out of water if it wasn’t replaced. The overseer at that time created a new job, that of the ‘vault explorer’ who was supposed to be the person most suited to surviving the wasteland. After a new water chip was acquired the job was decommissioned, but could be brought back under the condition that the situation happens again. The person picked for the job wasn’t chosen because they were the strongest, most perceptive, enduring, charismatic, intelligent, agile, or even lucky. They were chosen because their loyalty to the vault and its people was unwavering, and they were ready to take the steps necessary to make sure we survived and prospered. That mentality is what allowed them to push past the hardships of the wastes and retrieve the chip that was integral for our survival.”
The Listener is hesitant to accept the responsibility, and it’s clearly visible in their face.
[Trying your hardest to convince them]
“Look, I know the idea of going above ground is scary. I would do it myself, but in case you fail I need to be ready to take more drastic actions to save the vault. If you do this for the vault, for me… I will relinquish my responsibility as overseer to you with all the benefits that come with it. Deal?”
The Listener reluctantly agrees to the job.
“Congratulations then, you're the vault's new explorer. I’ll have Officer Jacob give you full access to the armory on your way out, make sure you have all the supplies you need. The old vault-tech headquarters is somewhere south of here, if you find it you my find some information on the water chip and where to acquire one.”
The Listener gets up, ready to walk out the door before the overseer stops them.
[Slightly reluctant and concerned]
“Be careful up there, You never know what you're going to run into so be prepared to fight in case trouble comes looking for you. The post-war world might look different, but war… war never changes.”
The Listener nods as they leave and head towards the armory to prepare for their journey.

She's transitioning well into toddlerhood and boy oh boy... I miss my newborn baby so much.
Besides the struggle with solid foods we've been dealing with for 6 months now (we have an appointment with a team of specialists for that coming up) dealing with a toddler in stead of a baby is ROUGH.
She no longer seems to cry but screams in angesadness/frustration whenever she doesn't get her way. I'm pretty sure my eardrums already sustained some damage. She can entertain herself for about a full minute before she needs us to be there. Every naptime/evening is a fight. Every trip outside the house, every car ride... Sometimes it's starting to feel like she's genuinely unhappy.
I don't know what exactly I'm venting about. It's just hard. I thought I would be able to handle it better, to stay rational and not let my feelings get the better of me. And OF COURSE I love spending time with her, she's my whole world. But I'm stretched so thin I'm afraid I'm not going to be able to handle the toddler years.

(If your a Java player this could still help u) After going to the subreddits of the Minecraft bedrock community I realised that a lot more people then I thought didn’t want 1.9 pvp and was happy with their combat, but I still know there are many people who want it so after receiving a bit of criticism for wanting 1.9 pvp in bedrock I knew I had to think of a solution for everyone to be happy. This is where I thought of having the option to have a toggleable button like tnt explodes or fire spreads for 1.9 pvp for the world/realm owner. This would accommodate for the mobile players that would struggle with and people who don’t like 1.9 pvp but also give the option for the people who have been wanting it for years. As well as this , the Java players that complain about 1.9 pvp could also switch to 1.8 aswell. But even after that it could even help builders that want easier combat so they could switch to 1.8. This is why I need you to help get the attention of Mojang to implement this as no matter what it couldn’t affect you badly and would give a feature some have wanted desperately for years Thank you and let’s try and get this as big as possible so we can all be happy with pvp even if you are a builder lol.But this would be temporary until there is an actual solution which is parity between the versions with a proper functioning combat system because yes this does bring a divide but it’s a temporary fix. It may also but hard to code but people have done it in mods so I think A game studio owned by Microsoft could do it. This is the feedback Page to make this happen. Hi all, as the title suggests, I am currently choosing between two Sportwagens and wanted to get some advice from current owners or those familiar with the vehicle. One is a 2019 in the S trim with 4Motion, with an OTD price of around 24k. It is a CPO vehicle, still has almost three years valid on its original warranty (plus an extra year from the CPO program), and would come with a lifetime powertrain warranty for no extra charge, and only has about 22k miles. It does have the drivers' assistance package but of course no adaptive cruise control, being the lower trim, and only had one owner.
On the other hand, the 2017 is a nicer car overall, being the SEL trim, and has no reported issues with its sunroof (which strikes me as the biggest and most frequent complaint about these Sportwagens), and has all the various bells and whistles that come with the trim. It does not of course have its original warranty, but CarMax would sell it to me with their extended warranty (for 5 years) for about 26k OTD. It has 40k miles and three owners.
The wife I think is worried about not having adaptive cruise control on the 2019. It seems like the 2017 seems to be a nicer car overall, but my gut tells me that it would be wiser to go for the newer vehicle. Would love to hear your thoughts though. I've heard the 4Motion system can be a source of some headaches now and again.
I really want a wagon, so it feels like the only other option with comparable safety features would be a slightly older (2018-2020) Outback. I've heard those are overall more reliable but perhaps less fun to drive.

So to preface I live in a very rural town with absolutely no public transit. I recently had to move here from a city where I could get away with driving short distances with my car that isn't legal yet (dealing with the state to get my title from an unscrupulous seller) but now to get to work I have to pass a military checkpoint to get on base. My boss agreed to give me rides to and from work until this is settled.
Well today I get dropped off, and less than an hour in he calls me and tells me night crew called out so he left in order to come back for the night shift. Now I am stranded at work without a way to get home after my shift. I have no money to my name so I can't even get a cab.
Looks like I'm gonna have fun walking 2 hours to get home at midnight tonight in the middle of nowhere

I am 24 and have been coerced to stay with my mom. I am the scapegoat child- my sibling has a life of their own never had to experience the situation I’ve been in for the last 6 years.
I have been wanting to move out since I was 20 (if I could I would’ve lived with my dad after the divorce) and every time I talk about moving out (which I said I would after I saved up for 1-2 years after graduating from college) I always get 3 responses:
1) what do you expect me to do? 2 you can’t afford to live on your own. 3 you’re selfish I can’t afford it, what about me?
I am currently saving up to move- I have been vocal about my intentions and plans and have been looking at apartments for myself (she knows I’m doing this to), but she’s going around telling people that she and I were going to move out of our current place and find somewhere new next year.
She has been emotionally and financially abusive. From the manipulation and guilt tripping to essentially me buy her a car that was suppose to be mine and fixing that car whenever issues arise and paying her taxes last year (among giving her my scholarships and graduation money + her cashing my first job checks and only giving me $40 a month)
I am curious as to how others handled situations like this and what they do in this situation. Any advice/guidance is appreciated

As requested by you all, this will be a light megathread. We won't go as in-depth here as we did for Super Nintendo World at USH, but we also still hope you'll be able to make more informed travel decisions by reading the main post here or asking questions below it.

Land Overview
Minion Land is a soon-to-be-open area inside the Universal Studios Florida (USF) theme park, which itself is a park inside the Universal Orlando Resort (UOR). It consists of two attractions (Illumination's Villain-Con Minion Blast and Despicable Me: Minion Mayhem), four dining locations (Minion Cafe, Bake My Day, Pop-A-Nana, and Freeze Ray Pops), two merchandise shops (Evil Stuff and Super Silly Stuff), and a meet-and-greet area (Illumination Theater).
Note that Despicable Me: Minion Mayhem and Super Silly Stuff are already open at Universal Studios Florida. The UOR website still lists them as part of the area, however.
Universal Destinations and Experiences has yet to provide opening dates and admission details for this new area. It is still slated for a summer 2023 opening, but please keep checking back for further updates and specifications.

Despicable Me: Minion Mayhem
Despicable Me: Minion Mayhem is a simulator attraction themed to the Despicable Me franchise. It is already open at USF.
Guests are welcomed into Gru's house to be turned into Minions to work for him. Gru's three adopted daughters, Margo, Edith, and Agnes, are tasked by Gru to train the guests ahead of their new careers. Guests are visiting on the anniversary of the girls' adoption, and though Agnes has a gift for Gru, he is too preoccupied with villainy to accept it. After being shrunken down and turned into Minions, guests are taken through Gru's hideout and wacky Minions-invovled hijinks ensue.
All guests must be at least 48" tall to ride on their own and at least 40" tall to ride at all. Guests between 40" and 48" tall must ride together with someone at least 48" or taller.
This attraction is compatible with all Express Pass types.

Illumination's Villain-Con Minion Blast
Illumination's Villain-Con Minion Blast is a yet-to-be-opened attraction themed to the Minions franchise. It is slated to open sometime in summer 2023 alongside the rest of Minion Land. It is located in the former site of the Shrek 4D attraction.
While not much is known about the attraction (it isn't yet open anywhere else in the world), the key art depicts guests standing up and using light guns. We expect this to be a gallery arcade, potentially with dark ride elements. Please check back in the future for further details.

Dining Options
All four dining locations are slated to open in summer 2023 alongside the rest of Minion Land.
Minion Cafe will be the main dining option. Looking at the key art, we are not sure if it is a QSR or sit-down or hybrid. The menu is also not known, but we expect it to have a similar menu to the Minion Cafe in Universal Studios Hollywood. That menu can be found here in full, but in short, it mainly consists of American food involving cheese, like mac and cheese, grilled cheese sandwiches, and loaded nachos with chicken (which are covered in cheese).
Bake My Day, from the key art, appears to be a QSR serving baked goods. Nothing else is known about the location, but we will post the menu when it is available.
Freeze Ray Pops and Pop-A-Nana don't have concept art viewable by the public. We presume the former will sell ice cream or frozen treats and the latter will sell popcorn. As with the other dining options, we will post their menus when available.

Really changed my POV after finding a more welcoming crowd, and even if people say its because of drugs, i couldn't care less.
I had my whole adolescent years inside a toxic relationship, so my wilderness days are shorter than most, and i felt especially lost.
After many failed attempts at scoring at regular clubs and such, (hated the music, "annoying normies", way too much competition, etc.)
But where i really found a home, is raving, my god raving culture is awesome, for a multitude of reasons IME.
First and foremost, i actually don't feel judged by being a weirdo in the scene, actually there you can find the worst scum (in a good sense) in the world and i love it.
Even as a total loser i felt not necessarily loved, but certainly welcomed, people are very caring of eachother and that whole respect and acceptance thing gets girls a million times more confortable, since no one is really there to game, you get even the most modest girls wearing whatever the fuck they want and it's usually not much, eye candy is surreal.
Another part is drugs, idk if the topic is even allowed in here, but the party drugs get the culture inside on overdrive, people on molly fully cuddling, people hallucinating doing the funniest shit you can imagine, and overall the main thing, is social freedom, and even if the culture is partially artificial, i couldn't care less.
I felt much more comfortable to flirt lightly and just make friends there because everyone (almost) was so fucking nice.
And surprisingly almost all times i go one girl ends up making a very sad attempt at a move on me, but after a while i was in for the music, so i said no more times than once, which surprises me to this day because in normal life girls might stumble on me because i am just that transparent to them.
I credit this a bit on my own behaviour, but 90% on the local culture, with the whole vibe being prime for meeting new people and just connecting, in a non judgemental way.
My own experience with molly allowed me to forget all my childhood trauma for a few hours, and i got back to being an extroverted, highly social leader personality i actually am deep inside, years of compiled trauma buried this happy kid and i felt finally free for a few hours, much better than SSRI for sure.
I said all of that because IME this is where the chronical complainers on the sub are actually right, a highly individualistic, plutocratic and narcisism inducing culture is the main culprit of the struggle.
And striving to change the culture is the best bet for all these "beta" men, because i really noticed that while looks are important, they are mostly so because your face won't look good on her social media, not because you are hideous or something.
I actually find it hard to be this open in regular life and makes forming and tightening connections with people much harder, and while not only a problem for getting laid/a gf, it is totally debilitating for such things.
These are just some explanations of my current thoughts, you think this is more aligned with any pill colour, does anyone differ, i really come in peace to discuss, because i used to be a very doomer determinist around here, my views changed a lot from "touching grass".
In the end my point stands as in, we have an incredibly toxic plutocratic culture that makes us less valuing of the other, and that makes dating almost herculean for the average man, my experience suggests that a mere change of enviroment is massive.

The first thing id like to say it's not the format I've seen posted before that's the issue. I have a paperback. I let someone borrow it so I don't have it on me. I want to say around 337 is where it happens . but it jumps from when Lou picks Wayne up after almost running into Bing who just killed his neighbors. then in the hotel when Wayne asks about Manx. Lou then is upset he can't tell him how he saved his mom when they were kids. The next page skips to Wayne finding Hooper hit by the car and the whole kidnapping. THEN it repeats the whole chapter and carries on with the police showing up.
I know Vic sees the shorter way for the first time as an adult somewhere in those 30-ish pages. They aren't really missing but never added. i assume an error occurred when it was pressed.
