Hi, I'm looking for people to add to my friends list on apex to play ranked. :D I am masters and would be looking for people around that same rank. I don't mind either input and can play on NA or EU. I am looking for people that finished Dia+ last season, no rats just players that are good and looking for a group to improve with.

Context: I applied for a technical role at TikTok at their SF office. At the time of applying, the expectation was working 3 days in-office / 2 days working remote, which is completely fine with me. Role had a very wide salary range ($120-230k, depending on tier and experience). I proposed $150-155k + some sort of signing bonus + equity (likely in the form of RSUs), all of which she said she can work with.
After 3 rounds of interviews, the recruiter got back to me saying that the team really liked their conversations with me and think my experience could add a lot of value to the team. She then said that the next stage is the offer stage, where it was implied that I’d be receiving an offer… on one condition.
The recruiter wants to first align on a new office days policy. My team specifically wants to meet 5 days in-person at the office because they “believe in in-person collaboration”.
This isn’t a complete dealbreaker for me since this is a role I’ve really wanted for a couple of months now and I’d love to work at TikTok, but it’s so disappointing and honestly a bit of a shock since I had the expectation that it would be 2 days of working remotely.
Given that this wasn’t originally agreed upon or even mentioned in the job listing or early convos with the recruiter, I want to try and negotiate — either in the form of greater compensation or challenging the policy so that I can work remotely for part of the week (I don’t think this option will work in my favor since there are other candidates in the pipeline they’d reach out to instead).
I’m leaning towards accepting an offer, which hasn’t been discussed yet, but I want to make sure I’m getting the best offer I can get with this new change. Any advice on how to go about negotiating would be SO appreciated!

For a while, I've been trying to figure out the best way to control Tasker from Home Assistant. I found a way that worked using ADB, but it was a bit hacky. But now, with the new HTTP Request Event in Tasker 6.2 Beta, I've come up with what I think is a much more elegant solution.

The work is divided into twelve books, each purporting to be the last exhortations of one of the twelve titular patriarchs. In each, the patriarch first narrates his own life, focusing on his strengths, virtues, or his sins, using biographical material from both the Hebrew Bible and Jewish tradition. Next he exhorts his listeners to emulate the one and to avoid the other. Most of the books conclude with prophetic visions.
The Testament of Reuben is predominantly concerned with admonishing lust, and the sinfulness of Reuben in his having had sex with Bilhah, a concubine of his father. I’m a first year student doubling in math & comp sci. I came in with the full intention of changing my major to just CS, but a lot of amazing things about the math major at UCI made me stay. I’ll list them here for… idk the upcoming math majors? Or just anyone who has a similar experience.
Maybe I’ll do one of these every year. I don’t know. I graduate in 2026.

It’s a great major. Seriously. I do encounter some people who say UCI’s undergraduate math major is not “strong enough”. But… What is “strong”? How does this “strongness” reflect on your own academic journey? If the classes are too easy, then take more challenging classes — the breadth of classes at UCI is quite good. Or do some Math 199 stuff. Or directed reading programs. You can apply for excess units (above 20). If the “opportunities” are not enough, refer to (4). The quality of your education isn’t solely based on ranking, and I think a self-enriched math education at UCI is much better than a vanilla, standard curriculum at a top 10 private university.
“Flexibility” is also a great word to describe what I’ve experienced. I’ll give an example. If you like a class, feel confident that you are ready for it, then you can submit a request to take that class. Of course it’s kinda strategic; should you ask PSSA (don’t)? The math department? The prof (yes)? In person or email? Include some proof of ability? Recommendations? Knowing the right professors, knowing how the admin system works, and being polite and considerate really helps to get into that class. Whether you succeed, however, depends on your passion.
And there are many things like this. If you’re interested in a topic, certain professors would ALWAYS have lecture notes, which are great for self learning. Undergraduate research is a thing, but one needs to dig VERY deep into an area. Fortunately, lots of these lecture notes, books (definitely do NOT download from libgen coz free stuff is bad for you), and talking to certain professors can get you started.
Undergraduate math at UCI will be amazing if you constantly look out for opportunities. I’d like to think we’re paying for UCI’s community and network, not the classes.

If you like math, take upper division classes early (take Math 13 and 3A as early as possible to open these doors). At a public university like UCI, I was expecting the classes to be huge and professors to have very limited office hours. This is not true for upper division classes; each class has about 60 people, but if you like what you’re learning, and you’re constantly asking questions and sitting in the front, it feels more like a 6-people class.
Upper divs are more than just classes; I feel like they really inspired me to look at things from a broader perspective. I often read an extra textbook in conjunction with the class material; Math 130A paired with Feller, Math 121A paired with Halmos and Axler. Really appreciating the specific content and wanting to know beyond the textbook — this makes these classes a lot easier than they seem.
Also, being in an upper division class as a freshie is an exciting experience. I learned a lot from putting myself in an uncomfortable position, learning difficult material and watching it become easier and easier after hard work.

Overload yourself only if you are really confident. Do plan out your time. Lower divisions do hurt if you underestimate them (spoiler: I did). I didn’t enjoy Math 3A and 2D that much, because they felt like spoon-fed formula recital classes. The professors are amazing in their own disciplines and give really good advice, but I just feel like these classes are in an awkward position of “it’s not too easy” and “it’s not hard enough”, so I reacted by refusing to learn, and subsequently obtained not-so-satisfactory midterm scores. To enjoy these classes with proofs meant that I had to put in a lot of extra effort, which I wasn’t able to because I had lots of other coursework to do. In short, know the specific, unique challenges you will face (for me it was the difficulty of accepting things without proof), and estimate how much of a setback it is.
Also, it’s a good strategy to sign up for a bunch of stuff, which you can drop until the end of week 2.

Hey folks, moved to Montreal recently-ish and I would love to start up a bi-weekly offline RPG group. Haven't had much luck finding groups interested in non-DnD games, so I figured I'd try here.
I’m in my late 20s, live in the Sud-Ouest area, and have over 10 years of experience running RPGs for all group sizes and too many systems to count. After many years of online play I really want to get break away from the screen and get something local going.
I’m most interested in running shorter campaigns, around 3 to 8 sessions in length, for systems that aren’t 5e/Pathfinder. This includes Blades in the Dark, Knave, Fist: Ultra Edition, Fellowship 2e, Hard Wired Island, Heart: the City Beneath, Masks, and more. Genre isn’t an object here! More tactics-heavy games like Lancer and Gubat Banwa are also on my list.
All my groups are LGBTQ+ friendly. I use safety tools in all my games to provide a safe environment for rich, engaging, roleplay-forward stories.

Hi,
So i have a dictionary which contains instances of several classes, which kinda looks like

d = {"key1" : object,... } 

where object can be of type root.class1.class2.abc.class3, root.class1.class2.def.class4 and so on. And these objects have additional variables like

Obj._name = "some_name"; Obj._args = {key1: value, key2: class_object} 

What I have to do is look into all these objects and find some variable names and get their values. So input request could look like

class_type = "abc.class3" param_name = "_args.key2" 

Right now I'm doing like

if class_type in str(type(obj)): blah blah 

to locate class_type of the object and then use obj.get('some_name') if it's a dict, obj.getattr('some_name') if the type is dict with an occasional if 'some_name in vars(obj)` to check if name exists in class object.
The code works but it's a mess as there are too many isinatance calls and kinda long because everywhere I'm handing inputs based on their type. It looks like lot of straws taped together and I feel like the code is gonna break if some unexpected input is given.
Is there some library available that can recursively look inside an objects/sub-objects/sub-sub-objects (list/dict/class) and tell me if some name exists and it's value.
Right now I don't even know what query to type in google to search for such a library. If you can tell me some keywords to make search queries, even that would help. My poorly formed search queries are giving me stuff about iterating through lists or dicts

What I'm looking to do is create a vpc from each object in the "spoke_vpcs" map and then create a aws_route_table_association for each of the private_subnets.
So, I use a module to create the vpc:

What is the best way to create the aws_route_table_association?
I've tried:

But that throws an error of "The given "for_each" argument value is unsuitable: the "for_each" argument must be a map, or set of strings, and you have provided a value of type tuple.
I've tried using tomap() and toset() But both throw errors.

I have a Blazor WASM site that I've deployed 20-30 instances of for various customers. They run independently, but on the same servers. All run the same version of code, on their own subdomains with their own separate databases.
The sites work fine, and speed is fine, responses are fine. Everything is great, expect once in a while I get these "Failed to Fetch" errors and I can't for the life of me reproduce them.
The wisdom of the Internet is to add a wide open net CORS policy, but that feels like its a solution for people who get the issue on every API call. I get the issue only once every 1000.
No users have complained about it, and the only time I've ever managed to hit it it looks like the page just hung, so they must just refresh and go about their day.
It happens across all browser types and various different API endpoints. On the back end I see no issues (timeouts, event viewer bugs etc). Has anyone else come across this before?
As I move more and more customers onto the platform I'm getting a bit worried this issue will cascade and I'll be in real trouble!

Don’t buy from these people. Don’t even think about it. I bought a 2008 Honda CRV for 8,000 from them in January, and by March the dashboard lit up with engine codes. The engine was completely dead by April, about 90 days after I bought the car. After basically threatening to sue them, they reluctantly agreed to trade for a car of much less value. I eventually decided against trading in fear of getting more problems from them. I sold the car to get not even half of my money back. There is no explanation for dropping a valve randomly after doing nothing but if anything, overly maintaining this car. This was the first car I owned in 2 years and it took a long time to save up this money, doing research and careful planning for nothing and a bad attitude when I came to them with my dead car they sold me. I would stay clear of this place at all costs. This is a warning.

I bought an 08 Honda Crv from Eduardo Contreras at Express Motorsports Dealership in Lawrence, Massachusetts. I’ve done nothing but try to maintain the vehicle and the engine was dead within 2 months of purchasing the car.
Here is a timeline of events.
Jan 10 2023 at 4:30pm Traveled to Lawrence, Massachusetts to look at the vehicle which is a 2008 Honda Crv ex sport utility. Was told the “total loss” on the CarFax was a mistake the insurance company made with only minor front end damage. Was told the title was always clean. After reviewing the CarFax further it appears it had both a salvage and rebuilt title issued then later corrected in “error” then a clean title was issued. Put a $500 deposit down on the vehicle. At the time the dealership had no negative reviews. However on or around the time I bought my vehicle they received many negative reviews similar to mine.
January 12 2023
Bought my insurance policy for the vehicle.
January 17 2023
Was issued a temporary license plate to transport the vehicle from the dealership to my residence.
January 18 2023
Purchased the vehicle for 8,000. Was told the purchasing contract included a 30 day warranty for the entire vehicle. Purchaser contract had no disclosure of being subject to recalls. Tmps light was only light on the dash.
January 20 2023
Registered the vehicle.
February 9th 2023
Vehicle passed state inspection.
Between February 9th and March 15th (can get exact date)
A letter was issued describing multiple airbag recalls dating back to 2016.
March 24 2023
Engine started shifting gears harder. No engine light. Oil life at 60%. Last oil change was preformed 121,500 miles. At 123,800 I preformed an oil change using the same oil that was written on the last oils change sticker. The oil life never increased.
March 26 The airbag light, check engine light, and hazardous conditions light turned on and never turned off. Developed a p303 engine code. Mechanical problems including engine misfire on cylinder 3 and a hard start. Mechanical issues never improved even after a tune up and attempting to fix all possible causes. List of what I spent to try and fix with receipts.

April 3rd
Took vehicle to Honda dealership to replace airbags and have misfire diagnosed. Honda dealership declared engine failure with a dropped valve. Was quoted 3,000 to fix.
Communicated with Eddie the mechanical issues and requested compensation for selling me a dead engine. I asked questions regarding my warranty and discovered I was never given an official warranty in writing. Eddie said “ we have you a 30 day warranty on the engine and transmission only. It is in the purchase contract.” However upon inspection it was not. Asked him about the vehicle being subject to recalls and he denied that it was. This is when I discovered the odd verbiage on the CarFax about a rebuilt title issued in error after an insurance company deemed the car a total loss. Eddie agreed to give me a car of lesser value, then listed said car. Eddie insisted on communicating through voice notes and over the phone and not through text. I was not able to communicate over the phone at that time.
Arranged to trade cars on May 11th, however on Tuesday April 11, my engine started smoking and it is not safe the transport the vehicle back to Massachusetts. Also after reading a negative review about someone in my similar situation trading in a car to him, then later that car wasn’t suitable as well, I decided not to trade in. Id rather have my money back so I can purchase a safe, reliable vehicle than gamble with doing business with him again and trusting his vehicles.

It only says it supports "power delivery" but it lists 12v as an output which according to the site below means it has to be 1.0. (Also it doesn't go higher than 12V https://manhattanproducts.eu/pages/usb-c-pd-charging-everything-you-need-to-know
-> The question is: Does supporting power delivery mean that my laptop will accept these lower voltages as well or is it possible that it is "power delivery" but only takes 20V? In other words does pd require the support of all Voltages below the highest one the device takes?

I have a corpus with a list of sentences and I want to build a n-gram language model with it. I use the padded_everygram_pipeline function from NLTK to build my ngrams and then fit a model. This works fine. I want to calculate the perplexity with lm.perplexity(test_data). The NLTK doc says that the function expects a list of ngrams. If I transform my test data with the padded_everygram_pipeline to ngrams, the lm.perplexity functions gives me a DivisionByZero error. What is the go to way to evaluate this model?
